Guild- Lumarian Order
Alignment- Neutral

In the year of creation, there was born an elf to a small family in the northern most region of Brittania. The elf was raised in the mines and Blacksmith shops of Minoc. One day while out mining from his ship, a fierce storm arrose and blew the young elf's ship off its course. He awoke to his ship destroyed and himself marooned in a strange land.

The young elf peered around at this strange new land and admired the people who inhabited it.
They were elves like himself, however up until this point the only elves he had ever seen were that of his family.

The young elf walked through the streets of the strange city and arrived at the largest structure he had ever seen. He peered upon a grand tower with strange markings over the door. Unable to read or write, he just peered at the strange figures on the door until a passing elf approached and asked if he needed any help.

The young elf asked, "What do these strange markings mean here over the door?"
The stranger replied, "It is our written language. It says 'Welcome to the Manor of Galen Kai Tan."

"Who is Galen Kai Tan?" asked the young elf.

"Galen Kai Tan is the Ruler of Lumaria. This is his home and also our City Center. Would you care to meet Lord Kai Tan?" asked the stranger.

"I would be honored!" exclaimed the young elf.

The two proceeded inside the tower to a grand hall and there sat in the center of three elegant thrones, a well dressed and somehow very dignified elf. It was Lord Galen himself.

After the introductions, the young elf told Lord Galen of his account of how he found himself marooned in this strange land, and was unaware of how to get home.

Lord Galen then decided to grant the young elf a place to stay in his palace until he was ready to either leave for his home, or stay in the land of Lumaria.

After a couple of days, the young elf decided he would stay in this strange land a little while and at the very least learn this strange new world. Up to this point, all he had known was that of the pickaxe and blacksmith's hammer.

One day while walking with Lord Galen through the city, the young elf saw a group of warriors sparring. The young elf was highly intrigued and greatly wanted to learn this deadly art. He told Lord Galen of his wish and before long, he found himself in the hall of the Lumarian Knights learning how to wield a deadly sword.

The days turned into months, and the months turned into years. With each passing day, the young elf found himself growing stronger and faster than even the best of the great Knights.

One day, while out sparring, a group of bandit Orcs invaded the city with some help from some dastardly water elementals and ettins. The young elf stood toe to toe with the Lumarian Knights and defended the city.

When the Captain of the Knights fell in battle, the young elf rose to the occasion and led the warriors to victory.

Lord Galen noticed the natural leadership ability of this young elf and his potential in the future of his city. He approached the young elf and offered him the chance to lead his Knights.

The elf was overwhelmed at his good fortune and quickly jumped to the opportunity.

For a brief period of time, things were very peaceful in the city. Then one day the skies to the south burned red and it appeared as if the southern sky was on fire.

The elf led his Knights south to the holy shrine of Sacrifice, and there found a strange portal had been opened. As his Knights approached the shrine, they were engulfed in elementals of all types followed by many dragons and drakes.

The Knights retreated to the city to report their findings to Lord Galen. For the next week, the Knights were on constant vigilance defending the city from various creatures and vermin constantly attacking their city.

One day after a particularly fierce battle with these creatures, the young elf captain decided to see what it was that was bringing these creatures into the city.

He ventured to the shrine, making sure to remain unseen, and observed a beautiful woman doing what appeared to be ordering these elementals and other deadly creatures into the city.
He had heard stories of such a witch, but believed they were only that of local mythology. None the less there she stood, The Dread Sorceress Minax.

The young captain immediately went to report his findings to his Lord in Lumaria.

Lord Galen decided his Knights could not defend his city alone, much less the rest of Brittania. He sent a delegation to the cities of Dawn and Avalon for aid and to inform them of the invasion that was coming.

A great legion of Knights, Mages, and Clerics all came to the aid of Lumaria to assist with the defense of all of Brittania.

No matter how many battles won, the invasion was showing no signs of lightening up. Word quickly spread all over the land to all cities in the Realm. Warriors and Defenders of the lands arrived in droves to the gates of Lumaria to repel the invasion.

One guild of cut-throats and misfits saw this as an opportunity to attack the city of Lumaria, being as it was in a weakened state of constant battle and fatigue.

The guild of Mayhem and Destruction (M&D) then attacked Lumaria, terrorizing its citizens and looting the city. The young Captain called his Knights away from the front lines and a great battle ensued. The Knights were victorious in their battle, however, the victory was short lived.

M&D joined forces with another group of great size and strength. The Spawners Inc.

The deadly alliance waged a great war on the city and decimated the allied defenders.

Unfortunately, the war was lost. The strength of the enemy axis was to great.....

In his shame, the young elf captain banished himself from the lands and ventured out into solitude. After a few years of wandering, the now aged elf ventured back to the once great city only to find the ruins and tomb of his fallen Lord.

As he left the city, he wandered across the land and saw the destruction this invasion and war had resulted in. The world was divided into two realms. That of Light and of Dark.
The now Dark lands where to great city had once stood were completely deserted.

One day the elf heard of a far off world where life was striving. He sent his noble squire to learn about this new world and its inhabitants. The squire arrived in the world of Atlantic and saw just what he had heard, a land rich and thriving with citizens.

The squire sent word back to his master that it would be wise to relocate to this new world and from there the heritage of the lost city would be preserved and passed on.

The elf then moved all his worldly belongings to this strange new world, and as we speak the once young elf Captain is wandering through this new world passing on his heritage to all those who will listen. He strives to help those in need, and defend the values of a once great society that may have been lost. But it will never be forgotten.

Now in the wold of Atlantic, The elf Captain establishes the Land of New Lumaria and the guild of The Lumarian Order. In honor of his fallen Lord, the elf assumes the title of his fallen Lord. Kai Tan. The Kai Tan of Lumaria is the supreme ruler of the land.

Now as Kai Tan, and with a fresh beginning in this new world, the elf believes his Order will continue to grow and prosper and redeem himself of his once great failure. Only time shall see....

Sincerely,
