When she awoke, she bathed and dressed herself. She made her way downstairs where one of her messengers had several documents waiting for her. He made his delivery of them leaving promptly with a respectful bow. Some were of a personal nature and some were financial matters sent to her by Assia Penryn. One in particular caught her eye and that was the most recent posted announcement by Dealthagar.

She pursed her lips slightly as her blue eyes scanned over the document with one word keenly standing out among the pompous text... Matriarch.

"Very well then, " she said to herself. She surmised silently that either Dealthagar had foolishly taken it upon himself to use the phrase that had been banned from being used in reference to Ceinwyn or the Lich Lord had once again changed his mind. "Regardless of the reason, it is clear that the Lich Lord is not as strong as I had first thought. How disappointing. He either has very little control over his minion or he himself lacks the conviction to follow his former declarations. His allowance of this public reference without a notice to the public will lead the people of Umbra to believe he is weak-willed. How very disappointing."

She tossed the declaration on a nearby table and went to her desk and began to write. The people of Umbra and the gypsies needed to be informed she would not be returning to keep them safe. She had little choice in the matter unfortunately. The lack of consistency in the Order has made it impossible to accomplish the tasks required to protect their people. Although sadness appeared to be lacking, her disappointment was sincere. She would not be returning to the Order. She was not leaving it to those who were more capable than herself, but to those who would bring it to ruin and destruction. Her hands had been bound.
