|
As the five Guardians stepped through the gate Korin noticed the cook Livvie pull out her frying pan. Korin reached over and tapped it with the tip of his sword. With a smile, "Careful where you swing that thing!" Livvie made no comment but cut her eyes at the young warrior.
The party made there way thur the forrest to the lair of their prey. With The wolf king, Myrddin, Mal, Ebon, Livvie, Korin thought this creature would not stand that much of a chance. They spotted their prey and moved in to clear out the smaller ones first. Fireballs, Lighting and flamestrikes cracked as the mages let loose, The sound of steal on scales rang out in the narrow canyon. Even a rolling pin found its mark. The smaller Wyrms went down quickly to the onslaught of the Guardians.
The Anicent Wyrm had other thoughts as it pressed its attack. It first set its sights on The Wolf King, Knocking him to the ground. Korin rushed in Sword slashing and for the most part bouncing off its hardened scales. Korin was knocked to the gorund as well. As korin lay on his back the wind knocked out of him he saw Livvie run in and slap the great beast as it pressed its attack against Ebon. The frying pan made a "dong" as it connected to the side of the creatures head. Then Korin saw the cook go flying her body landing in and awkard position on the ground. Slow Korin watched as she got back to her feet.
The five Guardians of Stonegate retreated and after a few minutes to lick their wounds they regrouped and changed their attack. It took a great amount of team work and effort but the great beast finally feel. With energy vortexs still humming around the area, Mal walked up pronounced the creature dead, then spit into its open eye. Livvie the cook walked up and drew back to hit the carcus with a rolling pin only to hit an energy vortex on her back swing, The others laughed as they helped her up. and they all waited as she carved out some meat from the great beast.
Korin was impressed at the way even the cook of Stonegate was a warrior at heart. Korin just hoped that she would not be to sore to cook, cause Korin was straving. |
