When Pidgy did return from his flight he landed with a small "tink" on the windowsill of the honeymoon cottage. "Pidgy!" Soren exclaimed happily. "So glad you made it back so soon! I have more for you to deliver." Quietly and quickly Soren attached the third of her many thank you letter's to Pidgy's legs with a small piece of pale blue leather stripping.
"Matron Kal'iksix, of The Drow,
Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts. I am sorry that you could not make it yourself to the wedding. But it made me happy that you took the time to send someone. The gifts themselves were very generous and most appreciated. My new husband and I will make very good use of them, I promise. I also understand that you are to be congratulated as well on the birth of a baby girl. I will stop by when I can to deliver the basket of things that I have prepared for her as well.
You were very very generous. You didn't have to be so good with your gifts!
Sincerely,
Soren (Now Bishop not Calestra)
Artisan of the Gypsy's"
Alright Pidgy, just a couple more and you can have two pieces of cake to yourself! |
