A courier has delivered the following letter to House Gauntlet. It bears the seal of the Lord Regent of Yew.
Greetings your Graces,
I have taken the liberty to write you on behalf of the Maritime Union to officially welcome you into our esteemed company. Your willingness to share not only your abundant material wealth, but your ideas for establishing closer ties with us and others, makes you a most valuable addition to the Union. I can say without fear of contradiction, that you will greatly enhance the quantity and quality of our goods and services to our trading partners. We welcome that happy prospect!
Since our primary means of trade involves the seas as shipping lanes, which is not something possible to or from Malas, we must discuss alternate means by which we can transport your goods to Trammel and Felucca, and ours to you. As you may know, there has been suitable evidence which indicates that the shelf-life and general taste of foodstuff suffers greatly when we are forced to use gate travel spells but considerably less by moon gates. Thus it is my suggestion that, for the time being, we utilize the moon gates of Nujel'm, Trammel, and Luna. We can use Nujel'm as the collection centre for our goods to and from Luna, if the Council agrees. However, I also know that the Luna portal is now under the control of Stonegate unless my information is incorrect? If it is true, might you suggest what procedure we use? If I must seek permission from Stonegate, I will gladly do so, but if you can do that, it is just as good. Please advise.
I look forward to what the future holds in store for all of us. Thank you for your faith in us and this great enterprise in which we all participate as friends and entrepreneurs.
My best to you both, and to all members of the noble House Gauntlet,
Sincerely,
Thraxas

Greetings Lord Thraxas,
You are indeed correct about the Luna moongate but according to our agreement with Stonegate we are tasked with complete control of all trade through the Moongate as part of the governing of the land. They are in charge of the military protection of Luna. With this agreement in place there should be no need to ask permission since I am the person you would be asking and I of course would say yes. We will be pleased to have you come to us or we to you for trade.
When you have the schedule for shipments please let me know so we can prepare them and deliver them in a timely manner.
Good trading to you,
Sincerely, _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel
