Twice I had to take breaks from UO because RL problems. I lost two keeps, other houses and countless rares.
On Feb 4th, I acquired my second castle in Fel Atlantic. The same place my KEEP was that fell. Exact same spot. That gives me two castles, one fel, one tram, one tram keep, one fel house, and one tram house right next to my castle on Ice. I probably have about 200 mil in the bank. One castle, the keep, and the two houses are FILLED to overflowing. Enough resources to last a guild at least a year.
One Feb 6th, my new motorcycle was delivered.
I have logged in 4-5 times since then, and played a grand total of 20 minutes.
When I am not with my daughter, I am on my bike, out in the Real world with friends and just enjoying LIFE.
This summer, I plan to bike to California, then up into Alaska, and on the return trip hang out at Sturgis for couple days. That is one thing on my bucket list, to hit all of the states in the Continental US.
The last big thing on my bucket list is to go to Mardis Gras. I didnt go this year, but i will BE there next year for sure.
If i can't get motivated to play, I am going to log in and give the stuff away. Pixels just arent as pretty as the open road, or the redhead at the diner. I have nothing left in Game to do. Nothing I can say I have not done already. I wont give away accounts, at least not the two main ones. Not that I would want to start over, but because I worked SO long to get them where they are. Everything else is fair game.
I will let ya know what I am going to do. But dont expect a decision soon. But if I do give the stuff away, it will be to those I know. God bless you all. _________________ Without Honor there is Nothing... |

Absolutely, RL should come first. My life is swamped these days and I also had cut down on my time online.
I'd suggest if you can financially manage it that you give the decision some time due to your housing. Everything important you can load up into the banks and on characters in case you come back, however your homes might be more difficult to get back. I'd say give it some time and don't make any immediate decisions. Remember, UO doesn't have to be a full-time gig. If you can find enjoyment for even a 4-5 hours a month, an account costs about as much as going to the movies these days. If you can factor it in, consider it a casual hobby. Find out what you enjoy doing in the game and focus on that. Perhaps there is a type of character you haven't experienced yet, or a playstyle. Whatever you decide, don't rush the decision. Seen too many folks leave on a whim and when winter sets in or they are stuck in bed and not feeling good... they miss having that entertainment at their fingertips. |

Bikes are awesome and ALWAYS fun, but the epic thrill will wear off trust me.
Oh and keep the accounts regardless as if you take a spill and get rashed up, you will want to have something to do well you heal.

What freedom having a motorcycle gives you.
Helmet
And being able to share you love of travel with your children. Priceless
Helmet
Real life should always be held more precious that anything you can find on a computer screen. It is wonderful you understand that. Have a great time and take lots of pics to share when you go to Mardi Gras. Did I mention my gentle motherly reminder to always wear your helmet? |

This weekend installed set of Vance & Hines Big shots, Power Commander, and High Five Free Flow Air breather, and this weekend coming
up putting on front Light Bar... they will hear and see me coming. From good distance off. Its the VTX 1800 T... the most fun you can have
with your clothes on, that can lead to alot of fun with them off
this is what it looked like stock....

That is actual photo from HONDA...
I can take a photo and crop out the background but I use Corel Draw X4.
Ill take pic this weekend, after light bar installed and post it. Looks almost like completely different bike, and sure as heck does not sound like a Honda. _________________ Without Honor there is Nothing... |
