Greetings Talon, I hope that at the time of this writing all in the kingdom of Sanctus and the city of Luna goes well.

I can tell you from personal experience that the skull seems to have a renewed focus on the lands of Tokuno, perhaps in the days to come you will receive a respite from their constant infringing on your lands.

That however is not what I write to speak of.

It has come to my attention, that last eve a battle took place in the lands of Tokuno between the order of the Ebon Skull and the Lotus empire.

Members of Stonegate were present, but at the request of the Lotus did not involve themselves in the battle.

After Stonegate soldiers moved indoors and put away their weapons, they were greatly surprised to see that the people of Blackmarsh, despite all our previous aid to them, swept into the Lotus tea house and proceeded to cut down my soldiers as they sat at the tables of a tavern, non combatants.

I tell you this because I know that you've been trading with Blackmarsh.

I tell you this so that you now know that while we helped Blackmarsh build from a simple group of mercenaries to what they are today, they betrayed my troops in cold blood in a battle they had nothing to do with. Not only did they do this, but they did it in aid of the Ebon Skull.

You know that if nothing else I am a man of my word or I would not have gifted Luna back to you.

I urge that you take extreme precautions and cease all further trading with Blackmarsh, lest you find your men attacked, your goods stolen, and your kingdom as a whole in a weakened position for having trusted the new puppets of Oblivion.

King Ab'Arawn,

I hope this letter finds you well. I have just digested your correspondence and offer my thoughts in turn.

The recent turn of events is most disheartening and puts Sanctus in a most awkward position. We uphold that we are your true allies as always. Alas, we are also friends of Blackmarsh.

Blackmarsh's decision to embrace the Ebon Skull is very displeasing to me, but I am not one to sunder relationships due to lack of poor judgement.

Neither side has asked us to join in the dispute at this time. We remain neutral at the present time. This, like all things, is subject to change based upon the future actions of the Blackmarsh Empire in regards to the Ebon Skull.

I hope this letter addresses your concerns. I will also forward a copy to Lord Bracken. Walk in Virtue.
