Buoyed upon the unseen currents of mana the translucent form of a raven flew through the lands with direction and purpose, as if guided by some unnoticed scent. Searching for its target, its task was simple: Land upon her shoulder and merge its thoughts, the ones given to it by Izrem, with her own.
Sister Bryelle Vaughn,
I am certain your travels have taken you far and wide. The things you have seen and learned have undoubtedly only served to strengthen your resolve and give you greater insight into your own purpose.
Forgive the intrusive method by which I have contacted you. This bird is a form of lesser wraith that I have crafted to interact with you. I sincerely doubt that there is any risk of its own essence commanding your own. If I happen to find you running around some Sosorian field, flapping your arms and eternally searching for someone like yourself to merge with, I will know I was wrong and will avoid such methods on future wraiths.
But that is hardly the reason I have come looking for you. There is one amongst the Order whom is on a task to better understand the meaning of undeath and he needs to speak with a wraith. You are on the only one I know of that is both fully sentient and... sane. Return to the Scholomance that we may talk and that you may share your experience with another. As a servant of Oblivion, you know your purpose in this.
Until you return to me, Walk in Darkness. _________________ Femmies?! HOWAH!

Days had melted into one another at an increasing velocity. Her existance, since leaving out of Umbra, had been both enlightening and confirmational in a finite way. Cautiously and carefully she had slipped periodically into the realm of Blackmarsh, of Sanctus, Of Stonegate. For the most part she had not interacted, she had simply observed. As it happened, the translucent Raven came upon her just on the outskirts of Umbra. Concealed in a cave for the past few weeks Bryelle had been half-concious in a meditative trance.
Within her, she had known the Ebon skull was doing its best to seek out its deserter. Entropic tendrils danced and played upon her conciousness wreaking havoc on her concentration. Her only refuge had been introspection and deep meditation. It seemed to center her, calming the ever present storm. Sanity as it seemed, was only ever just at her fingertips. It was not something she ever felt she had control over.
She felt the entropic channels meld and bend within her own form as the Raven joined. For moments it was hard to tell which were the creatures thoughts and which were her own. "Concentrate harder!" Her own demand of her mind kicked in and she seperated the strands of thought. She felt herself nod though there was no one there to nod to. Yes, she would go back to Izrem. Return to Izrem. And as if on auto pilot she rose and faced the East. _________________ Ariana Lenoir[3:53 pm] She has all the subtlety of a rampaging elephant. |
