Ciara's words had struck like a sledge hammer to the heart. Korin had wished that she had taken the hammer in her hand to the side of his head it would have hurt less.

Korin had spent the last two months searching for The perfect wedding gift. He had searched high and low for another Cyromancer with the power or knowledge to animate six foot tall snowmen and give them enough inteligence to preform simple task.

Korin only knew of three Cyromancers and books on the subject were very rare. Korin has the power to create small snowmen six to eight inches high, and he can make them dance but all his attempts at making them bigger failed.
Korin did not think his mother had the power it would take to do what was needed. Korin knew that the only other Cyromancer and his former teacher probally would not help him. And he dare not ask her either.

Korin parted from Ciara and made his way home His chest hurt. He entered his home the urge to strike something was over powering. In a moment of weekness Korin turned his pain to rage. The Ice statues in the main hall took the brunt of his rage. His halberd found each one and only when a pile of ice chips where left did Korin, Now winded he dropped his halberd and headed down the stairs to his office.

Sitting down at his desk, he threw his head back and stared at the ceiling. After a few minutes of thinking about the words that had pasted between Ciara and himself one phrase stuck in his mind. "Your mother said you were just like your father!"

Korin shouted out at the Ceiling " I was out looking for something for the wedding does that not count for something?"

Korin stood up and walked to the mirror across from his desk. He looked deeply into it and more and more he noticed the drow features of his face. His pale skin and hair color, he got from his mother his eyes too where her's but his cheeks and noses and mouth where those of his fathers.

Asking his reflection in the mirror "why didnt you tell someone where you were going?" He waited for an answer, the reflection remained speechless. Korin could almost see his fathers face blending with his own in the mirror. The image blurred and then became one. Korin shouted as his bare knuckles made contacted with the glass of the mirror. "I am not like you!"
Korin continued to punch the mirror each blow followed by a weaker and weaker "I am not like you!"

Atlast with knuckles bleeding and all his strength drain Korin made his way to his room. with out the strength left to even undress korin lay down and wavied his hand covering himself in a blanket of snow. Korin's last thoughts before sleep took him were "Mothers right I am my fathers son."
