Rufus sat staring blankly into the sea that boarders Lord Blackthorne’s castle. Upon his desk were scattered many missives; Letters from Sarah at the desk’s corner, messages from various loyalists, simple responses from leaders. Rufus narrowed his eyes at the missives from Sarah. He was sure that she had taken what actions she pondered on, as well as found another. Rufus clenched his fist tightly and placed a finger upon the top missive, “Vas Flam”. The stack of parchments ignited, and the letters from his dearest Sarah were now ash. He slowly leaned forward and blew the ashes from the stone desk, and out of the window, scattering them across the sea. Rufus then took in a deep cleansing breath, and thought of his son; a thing that allowed him a moment of clarity.
Rufus gripped a feather in his hands, and gathered a piece of empty parchment, on which he would craft a letter, a letter to the peoples of Britannia. He dipped his quill in ink and focused his concentration on his writing.
Dearest peoples of Britannia,
It has been quite some time since I have come to you all bearing a missive of consciousness and mental stimulation. It is quite often I attempt to grasp things of the spiritual plane, as well as apply my philosophies from such ideals to the world of physical things and beings. To hold fast to these ideals and suggest them to the peoples of the realm would suggest that I speak to their morals as well. There are things that will try us all. Our patients and faith in leaders of all sorts will be tested; our dedication and loyalty tested; our perception of what is right and what will bring about negative outcomes from the situations we encounter will be trampled upon. I stress that we live to see the betterment of ourselves as well as the societies in which we exist. In that, the people are given the divine right to rule themselves or have themselves governed as they see fit. Should they stand against their government, their attempts at change should reap the hopeful results of change. Should they stand against one another, they are allowed their individual voices and ways of thinking. Though to produce the desired results, different outcomes are most oft reality…Dealings of War, or else, Peaceful acceptance or compliance.
I understand that many wars are fought within our lives. Physical exertions used to prove a point; a contest of words between individuals to increase understanding, or even so, mental tasks between persons to establish dominance. I understand that beings will do what they must to see they are heard and accepted, and their voice nay quieted. I understand we are allowed these things.
In the growth of beings, as well as the economies they live within, they are allowed to change that which they think corrupt or unjust. Persons are allowed to purge injustices and negative principles that run rampant about their respective ways of being. But in these rights we are allowed, we should be conscious of the outcomes of our decisions. We should ponder past occurrences and things that have hindered our growths and successes. With the power that is bestowed upon us as individuals, it is in our hands that we craft and hold fast to things that will increase positivity amongst our people and ourselves. In the plane of physical things, change is necessary for growth, acceptance is allowed in order to broaden our horizons, intelligence is needed to ponder our changes and their outcomes, as well as activate the acceptance and build upon it. But all things we accept are nay right. All ways of thinking are not accepted by all…and all rulers are nay kings.
While we all walk our different paths in life, their will be obstacles on those paths to allow us the ability to grow and learn, should one stumble upon those birches that fall, later they will cross a birch of the same look. Trip not, and cross it with conscious mind as well able body. For each individual is a member of a community which thrives on their decisions and abilities. The unification of those who seek positive endeavors is a must, I write to you as a person seeking as much.
Your Servant,
Rufus Oryan
