I spent time talking with Cezanne last eve. She seems such a sweet woman - gracious and kind. To think our friendship began as a sale! I look upon it now as a turn of good fortune. Meanwhile, I've neither seen nor heard from my betrothed in many days. Neither have I made attempt at communication. Perhaps the silence holds meaning. Time will tell.
