Korin walked out of the guild hall and pulled on his hooded elven cloak. It wasnt the cold he was hiding from, for the colder it was the better. He was hiding his face from everyone else.

The walk home was a long one, even though the distance was not that great. Korin had not even had time to morn the death of his favorite horse. And she had been a good one too, before the meeting of Stonegate had begun. Korins mind went over what was said and his actions. Livvie had every right to throw a rolling pin at him. He had acted like an Ass.

As Korin thought about Ciara getting promoted pride welled up inside of him, For deep down in that frozen chest of his he still loved her and probally always would. They had made the right choice in her promotion.

Again Korin's mind flashed to the way he acted, He would have to apologize to her for his behavoir. As that thought crossed his mind Korin shivered. the corner of his mouth turned up in a almost smile. "That is not going to be pleasant not one bit." "It will probally end in blood shed, Mine most likely."

Korin reached the steps to his tower and sat down looking back at the tracks he had made in the snow. Images of children rushing out to greet him as he returned home flooded his mind. Korin tried hard to push them away. For he knew that they probally would never come true now.

Korin thought for a long time sitting on his steps about many different things. His grandmother and mother's approval of Ciara. He hoped that Ciara had told Merci about calling it quits, so he didnt have too. He thought about the dream he had once had of Ciara and him standing ontop of the guild hall surrounded by their children and friends.

Korin felt a cold breeze run up the back of his neck then a sharp pain in the back of his head. He turned to see who had hit him, but he was alone. turning back around he was staring at his foot prints in the snow when it hit him.

"Korin d'Rue Warlord of Stonegate, Stop feeling sorry for yourself." the voice in his head was yelling loudly now. "You got dumped, get over it and move on." "You may never have children of your own!" Korins head began to hurt as if each word was followed by a slap or blow. "GET OVER IT"Korin heard over and over in his head.

Korin stood and moved inside with a new purpose now. He went to his office and sat down to right out lesson plans. Looking up at the ceiling he whispered. "You are right I may never have children of my own but I will teach each child as if they are mine."

Korin took a fresh peice of parchment out and started his letter to the enforcer to enlist as an instructor.
