Despite his short stature he was magnificent. His thick chestnut mane tousled over the muscular shoulders of a body honed statuesque through years of physical combat. Were it not for the bronze of his skin and the occasional battle scar marring its otherwise flawless perfection, any who happened to gaze upon Hephaistion would surely find it difficult to discern the ancient Macedonian warrior from the alabaster carvings of mythological Gods created by artisans of his era. Most striking were his eyes - limpid pools of azure, they whispered his every emotion without necessitating voice. A single glance from this soldier was all it took to define your fate with him and from that moment forward it prevailed enduringly. Confidence borne of experience leant him an air of genteel calm.
Trusting that his geographical and logistical prowess would be of benefit to Stonegate's army, he planned to begin his study with the surrounding territories and present them to the Wolf King for discussion once it was completed. Alexander's forces never met defeat and he would enjoy nothing more than to be allowed the priviledge of assisting in bringing that true for Myrddin's forces as well. |
