Among the trees and blue skies of Yew, towered a broad figure, stepping delicately amongst what he called his "Place of Peace". This place, was a garden, well tended, although a bit rough around the edges. Neatness had never been Arlins forte. However, the flowers, particulary the Bluebells, were growing quite well. They seemed to thrive in the golden sunlight that poured from the open skies above.

Arlin sat back on his haunches and grinned. He was quite proud of his little garden. He had gotten the idea what Arcana had showed him her quite impressive garden. And now...he loved it. It brought him a certain sense of peace inside. He could put all outside distractions away when he was tending to his garden. Well...almost all distractions.

His thoughts strayed to Arcana, and again to the Book of Destiny. He tried not to dwell on it much...but he couldn't help how he felt, and what the book showed him. If anything, he was persistant...and even though it seemed like she had finally accepted him, he still couldnt shake some of the more disturbing images from his head. He swallowed a lump in his throat and returned to his work, with astounding gentleness, transferring dirt from his bucket to a stunning lilac. He mulled over in his head just how much soil it would need. The flower, for all its beauty, needed the dirt and soil to survive. So did the soil need the flower, for without it, it was just plain old dirt.

Arlin dusted himself off and re-attached his scimitar to his back-holster. He always kept it at hand. His thoughts again turned to other, less pleasent dealings. The Ebon Skull had returned. And, naturally, Arlin was the one that was supposed to take Luna for Talon and Sanctus. He muttered an explative or two under his breath, cursing his luck. Just once he'd like something to go easy for him. It seemed like he had to struggle for everything...

He shook his head, clearing his mind of all thoughts. For some reason, he also forgot how to get to this cozy little tavern on the outside of Yew..Damnit! he thought. He sighed, and returned to his gardening, daydreaming of the future. He smiled a bit, ever the optimist. It would be an interesting few weeks, thatd be for sure.
