After informing her that he needed to talk to her about something important, Vaen brought Natalya to his family's villa on a secluded island to explain to her just what the Ebon Skull was. He explained all that he could; all that he knew. He explained that the ranks of the Ebon Skull were filled with necromancers, and they showed absolutely no mercy. Almost as if they were emotionless, or as if they enjoyed the pain of others.

Natalya's eyes widened as Vaen finished explaining.

"Can't we just.... hide?!" Natalya said, obviously frightened.

"Hide?! You can't be serious. That goes against everything we stand for!" Vaen said.

"I know..." Natalya looked down at the table, and then layed her head down on it. Vaen reached up and started to rub her shoulders.

"Natalya, all my life I have put life at stake in order to save another. It's what I do. And I can't not do it now."

"But... I love you. I don't want to lose you.... We... We're supposed to get married!" Natalya said, fighting back tears.

"There's nothing in this world that will keep me from marrying you, Natalya." A slight smile came over her face and she looked up at him.

"Let's do it..."

Vaen blinked a moment.

"Do what?"

"Let's get married."

"When?"

"Now!"

"NOW?!" Vaen said, a bit surprised.

"Well, not... now. But... soon."

"So soon? Uhh.."

"Vaen, if we're going to go up against this... evil.. then, there's no saying if both of us will make it out alive."

Vaen nodded and smiled.

"You're right. Ok, I'll see what I can do to get this together."

"I can help too, right?" Natalya asked.

Vaen smiled. "Of course."

Natalya smiled, and leaned over the table and kissed Vaen. She then got up and walked out the door, seemingly happy. Vaen watched as the door closed, and then he smiled to himself and nodded.

"Let's do it..."
