The air hung still as the sun set over the horizon and Bailos donned a simple robe as he spoke the incantation of Recall and arrived at The Garden.

Trying not to notice him, Bailos saw out of the corner of his eye, Valkor speaking with Ultima, and kept walking. Parting the door to the tavern and sitting near his good friend and 'co worker', Darmug, Bailos began to chat......Casually the conversation led to the fact that Valkor was outside, and no sooner had Bailos said this then Valkor himself opened the doors.

An apparent look of emaciation, fatigue and probable lunacy graced Valkor's face. Ragged with little sleep, Valkor spoke in desperate tones to Bailos....about not being able to sleep, the pain and the dreams....Moved by Valkor's suffering, but visibly stoic, Bailos coaxed Valkor outside behind the tavern, where they including Darmug, spoke.

Valkor's love of Azeroth and the pain he was going through made him literally -beg- Bailos to end his life. Wishing for only an honorable death Valkor did not want to simply kill himself, he wanted to die a warrior. With a heavy heart and head, Bailos opened a gate to a remote house on the Dagger Isle to solve Valkor's problem, all the while wishing that what he heard was not true. As they stepped to the other side, Darmug quickly silenced and closed the gate, wishing none to follow them to their grisley task.

Entering the ruined building the trio spoke again.....Bailos dictated several options to Valkor, still hoping that a mind change was coming and the now fallen warrior would reconsider.....however Valkor would have none....Choosing, from the lot of options, a warrior's death.

Ascending to the second level Bailos prepared his mana and Valkor prepared his gear, and Darmug readied his axe. Stationing themselves at opposite ends of the room, Bailos asked for a final time, "Are.......you...CERTAIN.....?"

Without hesitation and in monotone, of course Valkor replied, "Yes". Heaving out a final sigh, Bailos reassured Valkor that his death would be a swift and merciful as possible, however honorable.

As Valkor sheathed his weapon, Bailos raised his arms and spoke the words of power, hurling a powerful bolt of energy at the now charging warrior. Stopping him in his tracks approximatly twenty feet away, Valkor dropped to one kneed, still holding weapon, with large burn marks and visibly cracked armor.....Under his breath, Bailos raised his arms again and said "Two...." then fired a second powerful bolt of energy at Valkor. This time knocking him over and sending his weapon flying away, shattering as it hit the wall.....With a final, regretful breath, the word "Three......" was heard. Valkor struggled to his feet once more, coughing and a smattering of blood now covering his face as his nose bled and Bailos held the final pose, waiting to release the spell, until Valkor stood full and ready.

With one eye swollen shut already, Valkor stood courageously and bowed one last time to Bailos, and as a tear welled in Bailos' eye, he released the last blast in to Valkor's chest.

Darmug, still watching from the side, spoke a Drowish blessing on the warrior's now fallen body and Bailos reluctantly moved to the wall to steady himself.

Darmug asks permission to preverve Valkor's quickly fading life force so that he may be remembered, and without hesitation this demand is agreed upon. After collecting himself, Bailos casts a spell on the corpse of Valkor, setting it ablaze in arcane fire....slouching in the corner, Bailos and Darmug wait for the fire to consume the corspe.

Stooping over the ashes, Bailos waves off the last magical energy and picks up a few untouched bones. Pulling out a case, he scoops ashes in and then seals it.

"I will preserve these ashes in my chambers, and keep the bones on my person......His spirit will stay with me for as long as hold these ashes....Maybe one day his essence will speak to me and be ready to return, but for now, he can rest..."

And with those words, the trio now reduced to a duo, leaves as quietly as they came, descending the steps to a waiting gate for Azeroth.

Rest well, fallen one

Valkor soemnly looked into Bailos' eyes. With a fit of false rage he ran at Bailos, but allowed the flame strike to hit him. He stumbled, fell to the ground. Valkor stubbornly got back up, and was met with another flame strike as quickly as he could feel the pain of the first. He slumped to the ground, and it was only the insanity that kept him breathing and moving.
All that Valkor could see was covered in a red hue. He coughed, blood spewed forth in a mist. He felt he was in slow motion. Seconds felt like hours. Valkor pridefully scooped his weapon up and with all his energy gave a last arrogant bow. The flame engulfed him, but this last time he did not feel it.
