As I stepped through the gate I felt the warmth of the sand beneath my feet. Tavern nights were always welcome anytime we could get a break and relax was always welcomed. even though officially i was off duty i still looked for possible threats and a exit strategy should the need arise. Following the soke and Ni inside we shortly found a table, It was made out of wood and a vase with a flower sat as the center piece. it was still early in the evening and there were still plenty of seats available. the evening wore on and the seats began to fill up, eventually flur joined us.

I sat watching the room as it began to fill with customers. Making small talk to keep myself occupied, soon the place was filled with chatter and was getting harder to hear conversations. Taking out my blade i twirled it on the table as the blades tip began to etch its way into the table. soon there was the beginnings of a deep gash on the table, i grinned slightly and continued to carve into the table. I did not mean to do it but it was just too fun so i continued. a man approached me, i assumed he was the host, he stood staring at me for a moment then made a comment about carpenters putty. chuckling to myself i proceeded to carve my name in the table as he left to tend to other customers. My blade had been sharpened and if this was the closest i was gonna get to using it then i knew i had to finish my task. I continued carving in my name making sure it was fully legible or as legible as someone drinking sake can read it anyways. When it was ready to return to tokuno i wiped off the dust and gave it one last look before heading outside.

come to think of it i'm damned good with my blade i am sure that there will be more carvings in my future
