It had been several days since William Castle had left the cold stones of Stonegate... G'Harron the bear king had expected a visit much sooner... Williams only excuse to the Great Bear King was that Stonegate was his new family, and in places that you are happy, time seems to go by much quicker.
William was sent to Stonegate on behalf of his people, to be the voice of G'Harron as well as his brothers and sisters... Create a bond between Bear and Wolf... This was his goal, with such being complete William had sadly left Stonegate, to return to G'Harron with great news of success. On the journey home, William thought back to all the friends and family he was now leaving behind, yes his true family was with G'Harron, but the bonds created within those cold wall were bonds of brotherhood, a bond only a true Guardian of Stonegate could possibily understand.
As days went by, the night became colder even for his bear like blood... The days became long and full of dissapointment, G'Harron could sense that William no longer felt like he belonged in hiding with his people. William's smile soon faded, only to be seen briefly while he told stories to the younger bearkin.
William sat alone one night, thinking of his new home in sadness. There was a loud sigh which came from behind him, as William turned there sat the large bear, the same one that saved him so many years ago... G'Harron sat in front of him, in silence... William Looked at the great bear and to much suprise could see the same sadness reflected in his eyes. "What is wrong, my king?" asked William. G'Harron, with his big black eyes, looked down at William and replied, "It is sad to see one of my greatest general's hearts full of such sadness."
William unsure of how to reply, rubbed a calloused hand over the back of his neck.
G'Harron paused, then continued "You are to return to your new family....Seal our bond with the wolves, and let them know that soon there will be many more like you at their front gates. Your stories have convinced many to come out of hiding, the time of the Bear is now.... The Time for all Lycans to unite.... Go now."
With that William ran into the cold night on all fours, the breeze blowing through the course hairs now covering his hulking frame. His eyes shone with a rare display of happiness, made tolerable by the fact that he travelled alone. "I will be home soon" |
