Kaylor held the bracelet in his hand, its golden weight far heavier upon his heart than in his palm. 'Ever Peace Within - Love Cezanne'. He closed his eyes against the memories and his inability to comprehend her reason for walking away from him in such desperate haste. He'd thought mayhaps the passage of time would bring understanding, but thus far no such clarity had been forthcoming. 'Twas impossible to forget the way the gypsy Arahim had looked at her. Was it he who'd brought this on? It really didn't matter anymore, for what was done was done. Sighing softly, he tossed the bracelet into the sea and turned his back on the misery it caused him.
