|
All night long the man stood, his shadow and blue defying the world, they walked ussually among us unseen, but not so this eve. He would not leave her..this block of ice would be reborn.
The Soke was an effigy to the Great Shadow Claw that hung in the sky. The spirits of two clans held firm changing the stars with their strength, changing the world with thier wisdom.
Contained within this chunk of ice, lay a woman, pale skin, blue hair, eyes closed. A woman who meant much to some but little to others..
She dreamed of death and he prepared to bring death...
Rebuilding-
Each tiny cell worked with constant vigor trying to clean up the mess from impact. Thru the icy coldness her frozen form held tight in the safety of its cocoon.
Yet the King of this clan would not allow the workers to begin cleaning up the bottom floor of the keep, the scorched benches the mark where Merci had been hurt. A reminder it would hold for them all..
Rage-
A shadow of rage now filled the valley, it flowed from them all and it was that very anger she had tapped into, the strength and power held in the animals that all men are. It had been her last thought, her last wish, before shutting herself away..
A great test was upon them..
Unchain your hearts, my brethren and sisters of the sword. Let this not be forgotten, let your hearts pump with rage until our cause is won.
Kill them all...
Sacrifice-
It was her selfless act upon this items detonation that had shielded the King and Kaylor from its deadly blast, it was one mans madness that had opened the gate. His followers, and those contracted hit men that had helped him, would be found and destroyed.
They could hide, but her sacrifice had left the Kingdom in tact, ready to fight this day and many more...
Surprise-
It is with surprise upon her wakening that Merci would face the truth, that a ussually peaceful man known as Poet, a tavern owner had sought to destroy them all, to take away that which they loved and protected. It spoke volumes upon how much a neighbor could be trusted....
What wrong had Stonegate perpetrated on this man, this Poet? None..
So why would he now not only attack, but freely admit to sending the bomb to Stonegate?
There is no answer.
The gate opened another notch, the power of the stone soaked up the rage... a new door opened..
The Wolves changed their tune from one of sadness to one of fury. The dawn cast a red shadow across the mountains like blood its light flowed across them touching the faces that turned to it and rage renewed this morn.
Fate had set their course.... _________________ May destiny guide you... |
