Elegant script upon fine vellum parchment, rolled and tied with a thin strip of black leather . . .

Majesty and Lady Oracle,

A brief word upon departure to make you aware of my leave-taking for the purpose of attending a memorial service in honour of Faerwhynne's beloved Duke de Vaile. I plan return four days hence.

Respectfully,

Lord Kaylor McKairin

A cold breeze returns to him, guiding the heels of a wolf unto him.

Lord Kaylor,

Thankyou for your note, I will see that the king is aware of it. Safe travels on thy journey. May fate smile kindly upon you.

Merci-

Having read the letter Myrddin paused to consider his reply.

All he really knew of Kaylor's destination was perhaps the direction he was facing when the letter was sent.

Sending the wolves or another messenger, mayhaps even Eclyse, had a decent possibility of success - yet..

It would only truly serve to hold him up to wish him well - so the Wolf King decided a simple verbal affirmation would do.

Good luck.

I will see you in four days...

Myrddin placed the letter back upon his desk and walked away.
