Nyxanna hummed happily, trudging thru the snow. The weather was warm for this area though the snow did not melt. She was not surprised, it never melted.

The ground was ripe with small white flowers amongst the snow, snowdrops they were called, grew here in abundance. She loved them, not becuase she loved flowers. Nay Nyxannas path was not in flowers. She cared little of them personally, it was her bees.

Bees were her passion, oft times people stared at her oddly as if she were daft. They thought her a joke at times, she could see it in thier patronizing behaviour. Who cared about bees, who cared about such silly things? What power could bees hold?

She laughed at this question. Yet setting to her task she pulled out several large jars. The humming noise from within them was deafening to her tender ears but something she was well used to.

Life sits balanced in your wings, the smallest of creatures carry the weight of this world upon their shoulders.
She smiled unfastening the jar lids and the bees flew quickly from them in hordes. Covering the air around her as they flew anxiously to the snow drops. Gathering up pollen as fast as they could fly.

They loved snow drops...

Nyxy loved them....

It was at this moment that a deafening thunderous cracking sound filled the air. Rending thru the valley without pause. A wave of noise so loud that the buildings shook slightly.

It was as if a giant whip hit the land. Within moments the bees hung unmoving in air. Their buzzing noise silenced, animation suspended. The jars they came in shattered around her glass shards rising up and exploding in the air.

As fast as it happened, it ended. No preparation, no warning. Nyxanna lay unconcious in the snow. The bees gone, completely dissapearing without a trace.
