The Silver Tax

What it is:
The Zog Cabal, in preparation of joining an outside organization,
are enacting a silver tax on their island home.
Anyone in an affiliation capable of earning silver on Fire Isle caught in
said act, must be taxed. In return they may hunt freely for one weeks time
and be given all benefits found in the Chaos Shrine: Resurrection Ankh, Ancestral Gravestone,
both versions of the crystal portals, and the hitching post.

How you participate:
All members of the Zog Cabal are required to read the exempt list
before patrolling the island. I will check the Chaos Shrine mailbox after every book dropping
for silver and add those names to the exempt list. At least once per two days you are to
prepare for combat, and travel south east towards the daemon temple.

If you spot someone earning silver who is not on the exempt list take the following measures.

• Explain to them they are benefiting on Cabalist territory and that you need to collect a tax of silver.
  
• Bargain with them but settle for nothing less than 600 silver. Explain to them that we are on the island constantly
  and can aid them if they need anything.
  
• Tell them they are free to hunt for one weeks time.
  
• Explain the benefits of the Chaos Shrine and show them if they ask to see it.
  
• ICQ me to add them to the exempt list
  

If the previously mentioned steps do not result in you leaving with atleast 600 silver take the following steps

• Kill them.
  

If you are not capable of murdering them call on the guild for help or ICQ me.

Next you are to travel south to the dungeon Hythloth and check every daemon room for
people hunting for silver and attempt to collect the tax.

If a person is slain grab any and all valuable loot (Bags of Sending, dungeon artifacts, weapons/armor, ect)
and give it to me. I will place this loot on the guild vendor in luna and money earned will be put towards purchasing
forged pardons to remove your murder counts.

There is no set schedule for taxing. While from time to time I will lead us as a guild to collect taxes
and patrol the island, you are to do this on your own time, when you choose. But it must be done.
Who is exempt:

Note: fellow role-players are not exempt from this tax, and if combat is to ensue, make sure proper role-play has taken place beforehand.

Kill on sight:
Note, this is a list of people who refuse to pay the tax yet return to the island. Role-players are never to be killed on sight, see above exempt rules.

Lady Sweet Scarlett [TB]: She's a 4/6 chiv. So it's the cowards way out for her most of the time. Just attack her and she'll probably leave.

In regards to the silver tax, we have periodically patrolled the referenced locations, but are chagrined to report we have yet to collect. We have found evidence of recent activity at the Daemon Temple, but alas, missed our opportunity to affect collection. We did, however, help ourselves to the abandoned gold and valuables the unfortunates left behind.

Once we finally encounter someone farming their precious silver, we shall do our best to enforce compliance.

I am to meet with an old student of mine, Dethn, and take care of some things.
Due to the quantity of blackrock that will be on me at all times simple return
to Fire Island will be impossible. I will rely on you all to maintain the taxing.
Remember to read the above note attached throughly before you head into the woods.
Until the shrine of chaos can be replaced, easy transport to Hythloth can be found
in the Seminary. Bottom floor.
