*Aboard his ship the Stormbreaker, Eddard Vahanian stood alongside his Captain at the helm of the ship*


"Man overboard!" A sailor cried out, and the call echoed through the dark night and the hellish downpour of rain. Massive waves slammed the vessel throwing crates around in the hold and knocking lanterns from their hooks. Captain Hartuck struggled to keep the ship afloat, and this was the third sailor he had lost on the trip so far. Eddard turned away as Hartuck began to bark orders to the men and stepped into the cabin.

*Three weeks later*

"Aye, she's a big one M'lord. Have a look for ye self." Hartuck held out the spyglass and Eddard plucked it from his grasp. Peering through the scope he could see the ship was heading in their direction. Eddard being no sailor himself left their fate up to the Captain.
"She's bigger than us alright, but I have an idea." Turning, he began to shout more orders to the men and the men began to scramble.
"Fetch me when it's time." Eddard said as he made his way into the cabin again. The Captain let out a hearty laugh and gave Eddard a slap on the back as he turned.

*Two days later*

The wind was working to their advantage as the Stormbreaker finally began to pull away from the ship they had encountered two days prior. Minus a few cannonball holes, and plus a few hundred arrows lodged into the wooden planks the Stormbreaker was looking like the fine vessel she once was. Eddard peered through the spyglass at the ship giving chase.
"Great plan, I'll make sure they make you Admiral when we get back you big dumb oaf." Eddard said.
"How was I to know they had cannons on that thing?!" Hartuck replied.

*Eddard sat drinking a mug with the men below deck when they heard the call*

"Land Ho!" And everyone poured onto the deck cheering. Eddard had to look for himself to believe it but there it was, Verity Isle. How long had it been? Years? The good memories, the bad. The good deeds he had done, and the bad he carried with him all came flooding into his thoughts as he gazed at the island. Why he had even returned he still questioned even as he stood gazing upon his homeland. But all he knew was that he was home.

And it was about damned time to
