As someone who has been RPing the Gargish philosophy of Singularity since the introduction of Ilshnear, I have to say how excited I was to see the Ter Mur expantion.

And how dissapointed I have been with the RP of Gargoyles since.

Admittedly, roleplaying into distinct stereotypes is a bit limited, but seeing the utter lack of Garg RP or knowledge of Gargish RP is a bit disheartening. I tend to see people RPing gargs as humans with wings, brooding stand-in-the-corner-and-look-imposing types or "I'm not a gargoyle, I'm really a demon/dragon something/non-canon fiction creature." I'm not going to tell people what they can and cannot do, nor would I insinuate it, but you would think, with the amount of fiction and in-game knowledge, something as world unique to the Sosarian makeup and foundation making to the Ultima meta-story as the Gargish race, philosophy and story is, more people would try to get it right, or at least get in the same area code.

Well rather than getting all bent out of shape and b*tchy about it, I'm going to use this thread (over time) to post pieces of Gargish in game lore, RP tips and snippets of language, culture, philosophy and general info.

I was taught long ago by Ceinwyna bout the gargish principles.

I admire the race that they are. I myself have never played a gargoyle because it is a daunting task that I see as difficult to do properly.

I welcome learning more about this perhaps with better understanding I will take aim at one someday.

So inform away!

I don't mind taking a lesson on it. I in fact know little about the race myself.

The Gargish Virtues of Singularity

This ancient code of belief promotes unity, strength and focus. The Gargish path existed long before the Britanian Virtues (The Path of the Avatar). They were discovered by Lord British while in the Abyss, where he brought them to Sosaria after slightly modifying them to form the Britannian Virtues.
