Upon the stroke of midnight, upon the coldest night of the season, a foal was born unto the mare Flur (Flurfadur Flam respectively), faithful companion of the Atalan Spearhead Trillin. The father Telmori, Asimov the Bloodroot's steed, stood not far away from his new foal, but made no move. If the young foal did not stand and walk immediately both parents would destroy it. No weakened foal would be allowed survival. This was the way of the Atalan's Dread black horses.

The foal surprised all when he not only arose and walked with ease, but its shiny sinew of muscles quaked as it teleported in a blink of an eye unto its mother's side, demanding sustenance. It was then noticed that this was no regular foal, indeed it was larger and sturdier then most foals, and the ability to weave magic instantly caught everyone's eye.

The powerful Telmori snorted his approval and turned away taking his leave, for he would not involve himself in these matter's further. The Foal was strong enough he would not cleave its head from its body as he had done so many times... This foal was christened The Harbinger of the Atalan, and was a great boon to them. Asimov was pleased, and all wondered who the foal would choose to bind with, what Atalan would recieve this honor.

The name Graeve was placed upon him for that is all that was left in his wake. Long live Graeve.

It was not Senjin that drew him from his resting place. Graeve’s eyes alighted upon her mare, leaping directly into their path the mare skittered to a fast halt. The Rider using great skill only just managed to stay atop the Mares back. Graeve in a calculated measure of force and dominance reared up on his hind legs in front of them towering before them and causing them to back up. His natural thoughts lay along the lines of, kill the rider and take the mare for himself. However Graeve did not calculate what happened next.

The rider’s demeanor changed, making thier next movements hard to read and suddenly before he could register the similar red eyes that peered at him the nimble rider had used his very own favorite spell. The words Rel Por flew thru the air as she teleported boldly onto Graeve's back. This move was unheard of, for no one dared to ride Graeve and he was incensed at the arrogance of such. Rage filled him and he began to buck with all his might trying to throw the creature.

To his surprise she spoke to him, though raggedly, as she clung to his back. What surprised him more is he could understand her clearly before the words left her mouth as each thought entered her mind. I am Senjin of the Atalan, I feel a connection to you, Graeve could not deny that it was now so. Graeve calmed and turning his massive head he nipped the back of her robe with his mouth lifting her physically off his back and dangling the Atalan female before him. It was then that the mare began to attack him in earnest fiercely protective of Senjin.

He had not encountered such as this before and it gave him great pause. At last the mare’s angry hooves broke him from his thoughts and he quelled her with a paralyzing blow. At last the Mare reeled back and stood stunned. The Atalan female still hung, unmoving in his mouth, he shook her slightly before he dropped her unceremoniously to the ground. Senjin, never hit the ground and in the blink of an eye she had teleported once more onto his back. He new instantly that she would not give up, and Graeve for the first time in many years, chuckled.

You are wild and young Senjin of the Atalan, however you are both very strong, so as a reward you may now consider yourself and your mare now mine.

So, it was upon this day that the Harbinger Graeve bound himself to Senjin who became Graeve’s Fury and he christened her Mare, Cimmerian, Graeve’s pet.
