Ichiriki Chaya of Tokuno

The Ichiriki Chaya guild is designed to add a different dimension of Role-Play to the Atlantic Shard. Made up of female artisans and craftspeople who are immersed in early Oriental culture, we endeavor to bring a sense of beauty and peace through the application of traditional Tokunoese music, dance, ceremonial tea service and polite conversation to an often violent and brutal world. Warriors, Noblewomen and Noblemen can find, within the gates of the Okiya (Geisha House), an opportunity to escape the difficulties and harsh trials of Sosarian life. Pass through our gates and you leave behind all thoughts of battle, wounds and conflict. You enter a world of quiet solitude and pampered attentiveness usually reserved for Royalty. As a purely neutral guild we are free of political alliances allowing us to serve, without bias, those who employ our skills. Our artisans are available for special occasions outside the Okiya so long as proper escort is provided during travel to and from the location.

Those wishing to join the Ichiriki Chaya guild will be asked to read and study various historical and cultural essays in order to better understand the proper role and function of the characters created. This approach to authenticity is designed to present a challenge to the more serious role-player who might be seeking a different approach to the hacking/slashing world of UO. Interested players may contact us at the following icq:

Thank you,

Mariko Shimada
