James Bunny-Man (if that is his real name, which it probably isn't) is trying to make a pair of Seven League Boots. Normally this isn't something a Fae would have trouble getting. Fairy tale treasures seem to come easy to the Fae, but only the Fae can use them. And this is a problem because James wants a pair to give to a human. While doesn't matter which human exactly, he'd prefer some sort of mortal 'hero.'

His previous attempts seem to have had one problem after another, it all seemed so easy in theory, almost childishly simple, but in practice they would wear out too quickly. Then when that was more or less fixed, he would take a few steps and have them turn back to normal footwear.

However with the enhanced reagents gotten from Judas, the pooka was sure he could at least fix this latter problem. And he could sense the energies at work within the boots, enough power to last a few years. He grinned as he went about his work, it was time for a test run.

Donning the Seven League Boots, James Bunny-Man made sure he had everything he'd need for the test: His hat, a snack, his book of spells, and a healing wand for emergencies. He then stood in the woods of Trammel facing the south, took a deep breath and lifted his right foot.

James took a step forward.

The world move past him in a rush, and by the time his foot touched the ground the travel wizard was nearly thirty-nine miles away from whence he started. Another step and once again the world had moved. After the third step the right boot was starting to smoke!

In a momentary panic the pooka hopped three times on his left foot, causing him to go farther and farther southwards. This was also plenty of time for his left boot to burst into flames.

Never one pass up an opportunity to start yelling he was screaming as he started running south, both boots now on fire! He soon falls into the ocean extinguishing the flames ('luckily' a mere mile and a half from shore).

After swimming back to dry land (and not to mention using the healing wand), he was able to look at what is left of the boots, what wasn't burned were definitely worn out, though it was an informative test- it showed that the durability problems were not quite as over as he had thought.

He must be more careful when enchanting the next pair, there are only so many enhanced reagents left. This calls for more research, and he had an idea of where to start: the City of Wind.
