Sir Robert was born as Sir Robert Daniels, son of Sir Peter Daniels. Sir Peter gained the title of Sir, and the right to pass it on to his son and daughter (Madame Cassandra), defending the Shrine of Justice from Orc and Ogre hordes who planned to ruin the shrine and thus the belief in the Virtue.
Being a Castle Guard Sir Peter was able to teach his son the usage of the blade while Cassandra seemed to have a knack for animals and their taming, that came from their mother Kathryn.
At age twenty-two, Sir Robert left Britain to find his own place in the world. He was a loner at first, prefering to test his abilities against monsters, fighting them alone. In one of his adventures, though, he met a man named Flint, leader of a group named Circle of Rugal. Staying a bit with Flint, he decided to join them. Not long after he became a part of them, the C*R, as the guilds abbreviation was, declared themselves loyal to Lord British and his believes in Order. But Sir Robert was an expert in avoiding those who followed Chaos.
A few months later, his father became sick and he returned to Britain to help the family. As his father felt better and he returned to the road, he noticed that the Circle of Rugal had been disbanded.
Several months later, he came upon the recruitement writ of a guild called "Knights of Sosaria". Intrigued by what he read about them, he managed to meet up with one of their leaders, a man named Breti and a few days later he became a Squire in this guild.
Doing what he could in his best abilities he became a Guardsman and finally Defender.
Visiting his hometown Britain, he heard then, one day, the cries for help of a young woman. Rushing to her side, he was quite surprised as the Ogre AND the damsel in distress turned upon him, along with two male brigands. He fought well, downing the three humans but the Ogre used Sir Roberts distraction to his advantage and struck him down, crushing the skull and damaging the brain.
But Sir Robert, did not die... He found his way back to Britain, and was brought into the Inn, where the healers tended his wounds. As he regained consciousness he noticed that somehow he and the small grey-blue bird that sat on the chair next to his bed have bonded their souls. At first he thought this strange looking bird that seemed incredibly intelligent for an avian, was a thing of his mind alone, remembering the damage to his brain, but he soon noticed that others saw the bird as well. And not long after he found out that the Dodo, as the bird introduced itself, was a very able messanger.
Fully rested he joined his mates in a hunt that got them down into a dungeon. There he found among the piles of loot that was deemed worthless a hat, a tricorne hat and being a man with humour he put it on. He was quite surprised himself as the Dodo appeared in the hat, looking smug and comfy and announced to Sir Robert that he loves being carried in a tricorne hat. Sir Robert wears such hats ever since.
The Dodo also teached him the ways of the Great Dodo, a belief similar to the virtues, and utterly compatible with those. Thus, while following the ways of the eight virtues, Sir Robert also followed the ways of the Great Dodo, and he was finally able to conjure the image of the Great Dodo, which would serve him as a mount.
Within the Knights of Sosaria he rose in rank, becoming a Knight-Errant. Not long after that, was he called to Lord Breti, who announced that he (Sir Robert) and his guild-mate and friend Arcana are to become members of the High Council, leaders of the Guild.
Time also showed that his deep friendship with Arcana was destined to become more than just that. What was first jokingly flirts became romantic adoration, though some inner insecurity of Sir Robert made him overdo those advances towards Arcana in almost satirical way. It needed the help of his sister Cassandra (and a stern look from Arcana) that he finally admitted his true feelings for Arcana.
Shortly after he became Lord (and closer to Arcana) a friend, Acting Regent Malicite, called him to charge him with an important task: The rebuilding of the Trinsic Council of Honor. To ensure that Sir Robert would to that in his best abilities, Malicite also declared Sir Robert the Duke of Trinsic, with Arcana becoming the Duchess of Trinsic.
Now instead of restarting the TCoH from zero, the Duke decided to contact Mayor Martin Willow, the former leader of the TCoH and still Mayor (though rather absent and inactive) of that towne.
Together they restarted the TCoH, writing a new Scroll of Honor.
Sir Robert also managed to obtain a well sized house just a short ride outside Trinsic and on the eve of April 6th, in the year of 2003 (outlandish calendar, used by the Dodo and others), Lady Arcana and Sir Robert finally married.
