Greetings,

You may think that I'm writing to you to show my disproval of your renovations of the Yew Court. After all, that is why you shut it down, to cause stress to my part. However, that has not happened.

Instead, I am rather curious as to what you did with the prisoners who were there, being as one of them was in our custody.

Reply as soon as possible, for you have something that belongs to us.

Vaen,

All prisoners are now inder the control of The Dark Awakening. We will be processing any claims against them, and persuing any crimes we are able to find worthy of the court's time.

If you would like to file formal charges against you prisoner, please fill out a formal application listing the prisoners name, residence, a listing of crimes, including dates, times, witness names and any other pertinent information. We will need it in triplicate as well. You can drop these forms at either our castle, Dragon's Den Inn or should you come across an Oracle of the Awakening, they can take thiese forms personally.

We are dedicated to keeping costs to the Yewish people to a minimum, so instead of persuing further taxes for lengthy stays, we are reducing the times between incarceration and trials.

We will need these forms within 48 hours, or any charges will be dismissed as a waste of Yewish gold and an infringement on the rights of said prisoners.

Justice should be fair and swift. Not a place for dragging feet.

know that we will review these charges and hold a formal inquirey, but as the prisoner was kept in Yewish facilities, we will be maintaining him for Yewish justice. As you are not a recognized agnt of the Court of Yew with this new regime, we cannot in good faith turn any prisoner over to you.

If you would like to fill out an application to become a member of Yew's growing security forces, come to Dark Awakening's castle. If of suitable temperment and physical attributes, we can fit you with the newest in Security implimentation.

I do so hope this letter finds you healthy. Have a good day.

Regards,

Dealthagar

Vaen quietly read over the letter, shook his head and crumbled the letter, tossing it aside.

"This is an act to free said prisoner," said Vaen to himself, "but what could Dark Awakening gain off of freeing Horace Telver from his prison? Hrmm...."

Vaen thought for a moment.

"I wonder if the Dark Awakening has any lightbringer allies that would value this information of freeing one of the Ebon Skull. Mm..."

Tapping his chin as he thought, he glanced around the room some more.

"Horace Telver... what would Dark Awakening want with him. They did this specifically out of act to harm our plans. Yew was a dead city, no one was around it. The Court of Truth is there! That's why we picked the area. Now, out of no where, these people come and do all of this? Mmm... not for long. Yew will belong to Arlin's boys, and I'm going to pull every damned string to make sure that happens. Yew will fall further than it is now if the Dark Awakening controls it."

Vaen stood up and glanced around, sighing again, looking out the window. "Renovations to the Court. Blech. What a bunch of..."

Vaen shook his head and turned around, leaning against the wall next to the window.

"Soon..."

Vaen,

The Council of the Awakening has conviened on the prisoner in question.

We have decided to allow you to use the Court of Truth and hold your trial. You will have to excuse the dust and workings going on.

Given this concession, we are willing to make in the interest of peace in Yew, we ask that you agree to an accord, whereby you agree to not make war upon any organization within the greater Yew area. We belive we can achieve harmony and rebuild the city through peace. For this peace we are willing to make sacrifices to our grand plan.

Please inform us at your earliest convienence if these terms are acceptable.

We wish it to be clear, that this will be the last trial allowed in this building. We will be dedicating it as our new temple within days of the end of the trial.

To the Dark Awakening,

I am writing to you to give you a quick response to your offer. The answer is no.

You see, I am greatful that you will let us use the Courtroom for our trial. And yes, rebuilding the city in peace would be an excellent idea. However, I have to disagree with one thing.

You wish to tear down the court and make it into a temple of your own? Within the city of Justice, tearing down the court may as well remove any relation to Justice that the city will have under your reign.

Your offer is denied. As of now, we will still march with the Army of the Frontier to remove you from power in Yew, and to replace you with Arlin.

I suggest that you surrender, and find yourselves a new city, so that blood may be saved, and so that the city may be rebuilt... "in peace."
