Hummer laid on his back staring up at his ceiling, Tatiana cuddled close to him. He was carful to push himself to sit in an upright position, Tatis broken bones and bruises made her very fragile this night. "Why?" he asked himself. "Why would they harm such a sweet and innocent girl. Curse those cowards.

Earlier that evening he escorted Tatiana to Darriens house. Tati, Darrien, and a couple of his slaves went to the basement while Tati worked. No problems had occured and everything seemed fine. It wasn't until Darrien brought a man by the name of Draven to Hummers attention.

Darrien pointed at Hummer and said "Him". The man nodded.

"Get out or die." Hummer chuckled a bit, being the stubborn man he was didn't move until he found out why he had to. He was knocked back a few steps by a series of spells casted at him by Draven. He chuckled to himself and walked towards the exit doors. Hummer stopped and turned around facing Draven and Darrien, he pulled out a book and carfully wrote their names down. Putting his book away he began to enchant the words of recall. Half way through his spell casting Darrien attempted to cast a bolt of energy at him.

Hummer arrived at Poets Garden, he exchanged a few words with a man by the name of Vahn. Hummer informed Vahn that Tati was ok at this time, and headed upstairs to the tavern. A few minutes later Hummer heard a noise downstairs and went to check it out.

A while later Hummer was sitting at a table talking with Ditto and Vahn. A little drow girl gently tugged on his cloak. He turned and looked down at her.

"What is it?" he asked. The girl spoke a series of words he didn't understand, but he did understand one. Tatiana. Hummer and the others rushed down stairs, busting through the wooden doors and throwing a slave to the side he saw her, beaten and bloody on the ground.

Hummer cradled Tati in his arms, glaring at Darrien Hummer spoke one word, of pure anger.

"Leave."

Hummer watched as The Ebon Skull and their pitiful slaves left the Garden. In a matter of seconds the place was in an uproar. Vahn swore to keep The Ebon Skulls out of the Garden for the time being, Ivae and Naz stood beside Hummer has he held Tati.

A tear dropped from his eye and land on a skull that was carved into her stomach. Hummer examined Tati, another cut carved into her forehead, broken ribs, a black eye, cuts on her lips, and what looked to be rope burns. At this instance Hummers world came crashing down, The Ebon Skull had crossed the line.

Hummer stood at Tatiana's side as Ivae worked as hard as possible to heal her and stop the bleeding. Tears filled his eyes and dropped to the ground, hiding his feelings from everyone else Hummer stood still shaking slightly.

"The Ebon Skull will pay." he growled.[/i]
