The brisk morning air came hard from the north as I walked with a limp from my many encounters journeying from the south of Trinsic. The lands were unchanged from my usual days, and it was quite pleasant being in the northern regions again. Exspecially with all the adventure I had experience in Minoc at an early age.
The days leading up to my journey north were quite dreadful and unpleasant. The organization that I once hailed from was all left in ruins after a brutal battle between three guilds over territory and greed of wealth. It had seemed all to common across the lands at least in the southern tip.
My fellow friends and warriors fell harshly in the winter of three years past. I had lost all belongings for the reigning guild took claim to all of what I owned, and then held me captive for three of thy years enslaving me into many incriminating activities.
For my will had not faultered, and when they all believed to find me loyal enough to not chain me up one late evening after they all became quite disorinated I escaped and ran to the city of Trinsic. I reached the city by early morning and found refuge near the wall allong the southern beach. I slept for probably a good day or so before I calmed my anxiety.
Over the course of the next year I traveled collecting and reliving what I thought I would never be able to do. Coming orginally from a very wealthy family and knowing others in the region as well you might think it would be rather easy.
Unfortunately, my bloodline and my dearest friends split andwent their own ways. With the lack of information and knowledge as I pushed to the north slowly remembering all my hunts and supply runs I had experience coming up through my guild I managed on foot until a kind gentleman offered his horse to me.
Indeed it has been some journey. Of course no journey is complete until a close bound or friendship is made and even then challenges await. Through time and patience I met with Lord Kain Elderan. As we spoke under his warmth of his roof he told me very little of his past, but not being able to have a decent discussion of my own I told him much of mine. He listened and made me feel welcome.
In doing so on the very next day he awoke me and pointed out the window and told me that I would never be misfortunate again...My eyes leaped from the shell they laid in as the sun glared hard on the new house he had transfer to me.
His generousity will not be forgotten. The legacy of the Warriors Sanctum will continue, and rebuild amongst the people of Yew. Tis quite fitting that the very guildhouse lay so near to the very Shrine I would always call home if poor or humbled...The Shrine of Compassion will always hold sway in the way of the warriors and others under the Warriors Sanctum. |
