Leshok shook hands one final time with Arlin and Arcana and smiles as they rode off out of Stormhaven. There was much potential in the alliances they had just signed, and though he and his men may have to fight, this was the decision they made.
He pulled out some parchment and began to write a statement.
"Let it be known that the Kingdom of Stormhaven fully supports The Army of the Frontier in its endeavors to make Yew a better place and is prepared to fight along side them if need be. This is where we stand, like it or not.
-Leshok Majere,
Overseer of Stormhaven"
With a nod Leshok handed the parchment to his aid and sent him to post it around the realm. _________________ After all these years, I'm still putting up with Kuja and Vaen? whats wrong with me?

Grig walked slowly around Yew in a fashion he had grown accustomed to. Coming across the Abbey, Grig's eyes focused on a piece of parchment nailed against the doors. With a smirk Grig stepped slowly towards the doors. These sort of notes had been going on a lot lately. Probably just another piece of propaganda about "a great victory" or "the other side has surrendered!" or something equally amusing.
Grasping the document, Grig hesistated in tearing it down, giving the writer the simple courtesy of having their little note read before it became lunch. Looking over it slowly Grig came to understand its meaning. He thought for a second before a smirk came to his face. "Alliunz, eh?" he chuckled to himself. "Dibn't kno da Sturmpugs hab enuff stwength tu eben defend demselbs, lebt alone anudder. Nub tu menshun... dat alliunz nub gunna helb dem aniwun az far az Grishnakopoliz ib koncerned. Dat halb big-bullie nub gunna tri aniting now aniweys..."
Grig thought briefly over the evenings events. Arlin hadn't seemed as strong on his feet as Grig had remembered him being. And the others with him had seem obviously rushed and flustered... unready for a fight. But that was the way it went sometimes. In any case the half-ogre had proved far more understanding then most humans often were. Must have been the half-ogre side... stopped him from making the usual gallant and therefore stupid choices that most humans made in his situation. But a deal was a deal, and Arlin knew the Orcs would collect if he didn't come through on his part of the bargain. She was a fine femmie, to be sure. Probably worth signing any chance of Grishnakopoliz away for.
With a quick downward swipe Grig'nag tore the statement off the doors and shoved it down his throat. Turning on his heel, he began his slow walk back towards the Stronghold. As he walked he thought of the months to come... and what fun was to be had in the place the humans called Yew... and what blood was to be spilt. _________________ Femmies?! Howwah!!
Can't we all just get along? No? Excellent. |
