The party delved deep into the crypts, the Lich Lord in the lead. Slaughtering the lesser undead that dared stand into heir way. Slowly they followed the twisting catacombs until finally they reached an open room that filled with the sound of running water. As they came to this room the Lich Lord hissed "Perform the ritual, Scholar."
Seryas stepped forward nervously, and pulled an old scroll from his sleeve. He began reading in a shaky voice, but as he went on his voice gained confidence and strength. Turning to each of the points of the compass he summoned the powers of oblivion to bring death and pain to the lands and people of the city, and finally he looked upon the earth. He commanded the restless undead to rise and claim the city in the name of oblivion, and to drive out all that is not worthy of its favor.
Finally, he dropped the scroll into the water, he then bit into his hand and let his blood flow into the water. Turning around he nodded to the Lich Lord and those that had helped in the ritual.
"It's done my liege..." Seryas said.
"Very good." The lich lord hissed "Yew will pay for its disrespect of Oblivion." |

Hospital Log: September the Eighth
Several citizens have come in, complaining of feeling weak and having a lack of energy. All of them had a pale complexion, as though the blood was not travelling through thier body right.
Most of the patients were children, or older men and women. Patients were admitted to the converted hospital, and given several medications, to no affect. Mandrake root and Ginseng were applied to leisions on the skin, but again, these had no effect.
Several Monks have begun researching the ailment. We only pray they find out what it is, and how to stop it.
End Log. _________________ As the fire fades to night, remember always the ember that started it all. |
