Burfoot walked into the meeting room of Kenderholm, there he was hoping to see the old man, since he had much to report. Much has happened in the last week and much needed to be decided and discussed.
Walking to the second floor balcony, he looked down and around and saw the old man peering out over the bay west towards Skara Brae. Bur made his way down and to the old man, "You busy old man or should I come back when you are sunburned?" Bur said in his usual blunt style.
"No, we can speak now" the old mans voice was low nearly inaudible
"I went to Yew as you requested to seek out our old friend Dan, now with the half-ogres army. When we got there a few men from Umbra were there, and I doubt it was a social gathering. Arlin showed up and words were discussed and a melee began. After Arlin was knocked in the head a few times and fell to the ground I had no choice but to help."
"Were you alone?" the old man asked with concern
"No, Major Eowyn and Lt Dur were with me. We went together since it was a nice night for a walk."
Greyskull grabbed his cloak and turned around, "So its true the rumors that the Skulls have been marching in various places, trying hard to get a foothold someplace outside of Umbra... and without their lapdogs the Orcs in tow, impressive." the old man winced in pain as he walked but hid it the best he could. The ever observant Burfoot saw this, but said nothing.
"What is the plan now if anything old man?"
Greyskull sighed and waited a moment before he spoke "We wait and see. Malas issues do not concern us, a full battle group is not feasible and it is expensive to get supplies there. Patrols in Sanctus are fine since they have been our allies since the days of Talon. Yew is closer and within our means to help protect... that is if the half-orge has the pride to ask." |
