Make sure UO is closed before you do this.
1. Open UO.CFG with Notepad.
2. Find the line SaveJournal=off
change to: SaveJournal=on
3. Add this line on its own line anywhere: JournalSaveFile=C:\JOURNAL\Journal.txt
4. Go to FILE, SAVE the file.
5. Go to your C: drive main folder. Make a new folder called JOURNAL. Create a blank text file inside of that folder with Notepad called Journal. Whenever you log out and close UO, it will save to that log.

I tried to get the UO Journal Converter to work. But I'm having lots of trouble with it. I keep getting I/O Error 32 whenever I try to start it up. Anyone have any insight? I know I have all the directories and files selected correctly.

I'm stumped.

There is an issue with it, it does not work for me either. If anyone has figured out how to make it work I'd be thrilled. It makes the stuff I do as a reporter much easier.

Does the information Kuja gave back in 2004 still apply to saving Journal?

It would be so handy to have it for IC stories with my terrible memory.

Yes it still applies, I use it constantly. It works very well, and if you need Imryrr, I would be happy to help, but Kuja was the one that had to walk me through it Laughing I am sure he would help you as well Very Happy
