As Porthos reached his study, he brought out his quills and reached for the first piece of parchment he could find. His fingers greasy with mutton, still working on his snack, he begins to write, smudging the letter as he goes.
Tarothin,
It is with distrust in you and pride in the Virtues that I write to you. It seems your reputation has finally caught up with us and you have revealed your true intentions. Your trickery no longer effective, the Steel Scorpions of Fire do hereby withdraw from the Regulators effective immediately. Our time for idle chat is now over.
Porthos von Ritchoffen
Porthos had considered giving more detail but figured it wasn't worth the cost of the ink. He proceeded to the aviary and took out a pigeon. He stuffed the note in the old skyrats pouch unsealed, for he no longer cared what the man thought. As he released the bird, his heart felt heavy and he reflected on all the time wasted and how the old deamon managed to distract him and others in the name of order.

*writes a reply missive*
Porthos,
I am sorry you feel that way. And dear Porthos, I never pretended to follow all the virtues. There are but three I do follow. Honesty being one of them. It was not me that tricked you Porthos. It was your own self that tricked you if you thought otherwise. I have done nothing but tell you the truth to all your questions. Just because you lacked to say the exact questions for the answers you were indeed looking for, is not trickery on my part. Yet ignorance on yours.
I had wished that you would continue your ties with the Regulator's. But it seems that for the Ideal of total Order, you wish not to sacrifice a bit to get it. I said in the very beginning everyone must sacrifice a bit for the greater Ideal. And yet it seems you do not wish to. So be it. When on my lands you will now be subjected to the laws as any other outside would, that are not allied to us.
Do fare well.
