She fumbled nervously with the bandages on her eyes and moving the orbs that were now in place. They were as smooth as silk and felt as natural as her own eyes had felt before they were so violently removed. She remembered last eve when the light she had not seen in weeks and weeks struck her mind. The thrill of it was almost overwelming. She could not make out anything but the bursts of light from the shrine but it was light! Then the bandages were replaced...A promise of sight on the morrow... it was the morrow now...

Biting her lower lip she ran her fingers over her new eyes through the bandages. She was terrified to remove them for fear it was all another pipe dream and she would not see through these emplanted gems.

She stopped for a moment and smiled remembering the had asked for Star Sapphires...Isilmea always said they were magical and they were a rich blue almost purple hue, one of Martin and her favorite colors. As she thought of her daughter, she heard her voice on the wind. Just a whisper but she was sure she heard it. She answered back softly within her mind. Isil had asked her to wait, that she was coming and wanted to be with her. Martin was away and would be home tomorrow also...she could not do it alone. She feared being alone and the disapointment should it not work.

She decided to wait for her family to be around her before she removed the bandages.
