After leaving Poet's Tavern and Mallory, Vaen went back to his room above the Golden Scales. He was rather confused about the happenings of this evening. Nothing confusing about Mallory, he had a good time talking with her. But more so confused about the whole situation of people trying to spread word that he had died.

"Why would someone want people to believe that I'm dead?" Vaen said to himself softly as he sat down on the edge of his bed. "What would they have to gain from it?"

Vaen brought his hands up to his face and sighed deeply.

"I need to figure out if it was Marcus. I need to find him." Vaen laid down on his back in his bed and stared at the wall. "I don't need people who care about me or who know me thinking I'm dead when I'm well off. It's just childish to spread rumors like that."

Vaen stood up and looked out the window at a small ship passing by the island as he was deep in thought.

"I guess I just have to find where he is and talk to him. But every time I've done this, it always ends in a fight between Marcus and I. Sometimes I come out on top, other times he does. I don't need to go back to the Garden all scarred up and have people worrying about me. They have enough troubles of their own. But I need to know. Bah!" Vaen shouted as he laid back down on the bed. "What should I do?"
