Here ye, Here ye!

The Yew Town Council is pleased to announce we will be holding our annual Winter Solstice Festival. Come join in on the festivities and fun during this grand event!

Saturday, 18 Dec
Our grand opening event will be held at the Empath Abbey in Yew, at 9th hour past highsun. This will be a ceremony given by none other then the High Celebrant of the Holy Church of the Virtues. His holiness will bless the event by giving a short sermon.

Following the blessing, gates will be opened to travel to a designated location for the next event.

Our second event will be a Tournament of Champions! This grand battle will test the mettle of warriors from around the realm, as they face each other in a joust of courage. Detailed rules and regulations for this event are located at the bottom of this parchment.
The overall winner will be designated as the Winter Solstice Warrior of Renown, and will hold the title until next year's tournament.


Sunday, 19 Dec
The second and final day of the Winter Solstice Festival will include two more events.

The first event shall be held at the Yew winery located next to the Empath Abbey, at the 8th hour of the eve. There will be much fun and enjoyment to be had as we share in this year's harvest of grapes in a Yew Wine Taste Testing! Free drinks will be given to all those attending! This event will run until we are out of drinks, at which point the next event will begin.

The second event of the eve will test the strength and teamwork of those attending. Teams of two will be given item of great weight, to be carried from the winery, to a designated location. Each team will be required to move these items, one at a time, to the location designated. The winner of this event will receive a prize of great value!

Please join us in our merrymaking this year at the Yew Town Council's Winter Solstice Festival!
