My dear Regent,
It has been sometime, no? I trust all is well in your house. I find myself now apart from the places where I once used to hail and claim as my own, and in this position, I often speculate about that which has happened since I was first summoned to this new place.
I imagine much has happened with you, after all, you are the leader of the noble forces of good and right, yes? I pray that you have some interesting tales to share with me of your recent exploits; it would make a crack in this shell that at current is the dull reality I find myself within.
How is that little bride of yours? Have you sowed your royal oats and fashioned yourself an heir yet? If not, you may wish to begin for you are not getting any younger, and, an heir is very important to every monarchy.
Besides....
Your wife is a rather fine little dish, if for no other reason, that should be enough, yes? A ruler should have some joy in his position. If this has fallen through, mistresses often do wonders as well to ease the weight of the crown. These words may seem rather primitive but, such is the weakness of men and, it would do you well and provide much ammusement to be sure.
Have you found the Balance you have long sought my dear old friend? If you have not do keep in mind it is the nature of all things in this place to have conflict with that which dwells amongst it, this is a main factor of balance in itself. Humans and mortals in a whole by nature are chaotic, it is rather amusing to think upon it and know that there can be no order without the chaos, no balance without both the noble Order and the forces of Chaos.
Many people often dream of some forsaken Utopia in which all is well, peaceful, serene. You know this future is never possible but the irony of it all you must confess is rather funny.
If things have moved as I have expected them to your proud and noble houses of light are smearing their, "good and noble virtues”, all over one another with swords coated in the flowing blood of their once brothers, tragic to be sure.
Such is the cruel fate of all things mortal in the end, the core nature of humanity, regardless of the heart of the being in question, always wins through the natural flow of history and time. This truth does not change. Another amusing little irony, that mans greatest strength would be its greatest undoing.
If such has happened, it is best to forget the futile quest of those before you. What good has it done for them? Laying the sword and armor of your predecessors down is the logical thing to do for, in the end, it may just reunite your people or save your soul. A very slim possibility of these houses coming together in such a situation but you never know yes? In chaos many do seek order.
In closing, my dear friend, I do pray that this cruel fate, this thing which rests upon your head and upon your banners, has not claimed the soul of yet one more noble soul.
I await your reply, and tales of the lands of old. Simply close thine eyes and invision my visage or call out my name within your mind, when this is done cast this letter from your chamber window and I shall receive it.
Until then...
Yours Truly,
Azreal De Lu`Rael
