Thus far with the combined efforts of all who have joined the fight to protect Britain we have been able to keep the invaders from the city walls.

Early in the morning after my meditation had been disturbed by some drunken revelers around the campfire, I rode into the city and found Lord Stuffa. I offered him the aid of the Guard. He agreed that if he needed our help within the Castle walls he would send a messenger to our camp outside the city.

I rode back out to the advancing line of the invaders, and fell in beside Lady Mia. We both nodded our greetings and got down to the task at hand.

The defenders at this early hour were few and many were half waking from their slumber. Even so, after a few hours of intense battle, we were able to again drive them back.

I think that had Lady Mia not healed me with her magicks a few times, I would have been overcome. There were times when I was surrounded by the invaders three deep and knocked from my mount, but still I fought on.

My breath was a bit harsh in my chest as I rode back to our camp. I sat under the embracing shelter of a willow tree and closed my eyes to meditate. Just as I found my focus, I heard something.

"Tai, they are advancing again."

Update:

After skirmishing through the night, I again sought respite underneath the embrace of the tranquil willow tree. Unfortunately, not 10 heartbeats had passed before I heard Corporal Takeda running towards me.

He brought word of the advancing army, and that the Generals were now advancing with the scouts.

We rode up to join the other defenders of Britain, and as Duke Kotare predicted, the size of the army was too big to be merely raiding. I believe they seek to occupy the city of Britain.

I fought a Titan General for what seemed like hours before I finally brought him down. I was not sure I was going to survive his magical assault. It was then I noticed how very close to the cemetery.

After realizing how close the city was to being over run, I rode hard into town still trying to bandage my wounds. Leaping from my mount as I rode into the Castle compound I noticed something was amiss. I looked about for the presence of Duke Kotare and his allies. They were not to be seen and the temporary infirmary was missing as well.

I left a note to any that might find it.

"The advancing army has nearly reached the cemetery. If you are able to aid the citizens of Britain in defending the city, it seems that the north west is where the lines should be drawn."

I left the message on the door of the Castle and rode back to the northwest to meet the oncoming army.
