There were sounds to the sea that entranced, resonating peace, and the tranquility that betrothed it. Such were the sounds this night, as she set to the edifice, housing the Holy Church of the Virtues. The days of quietude frequented by moments of travail. The letters poured forth, sister Mia, and others, describing the calamity to the mother city. LaBelle moved from the rooftop, furling the latest script in her sisters scrawled hand. In the morning she would leave the fortress of her respite, to be at her sister’s side. Moving deliberately from one container to the next, she prepared those things necessary for the passage to Britain.

Scarcely, had she the moments of reprieve she had desired. Through the relinquishing of her fidelities to the Regency of personal obligation, had she only brief moments of synopsis, upon those elements destined. Her mind revolved upon a great many things, and a great many particulars, becoming...

Having settled to the grand stone table to the area which she rested, she penned a brief note to the Lady Mia, Britain...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sister,
This Lady will arrive on the morrows eve to the city.
I shall look for an escort to your place of duty sister,
So that I might, stand to your side, and grant you the
appreciation the peoples have yet, for your services.
I understand the turmoil you have endured,
trust sister, that many endure...
I resolve to be, alongside.
I shall send a messenger ahead with my boarding
location.
Please sister,
Remain safe, and in Virtue.
Yours Faithfully,
~ LaBelle~
Mia reined her mount up along side a building in northern Britain, and wearily leaned against the wall as she slowly begin to load the heavy crossbow. Fatigue was making it hard to think, and she couldn’t remember the last time she was in the hall that it wasn’t for another bag of reagents and more arrows, before immediately heading out again. Startled, at a fluttering noise behind her, she spun and brought the heavy crossbow to her shoulder seeking a target, only to realize it was just a pigeon. She stared at the bird, now perched on her mounts hindquarters, as it strutted and cooed its demand for attention. She tried to shoo it away, but that just seemed to make the bird more agitated, and after several long moments she noticed the message tied to its leg. After relieving the bird of its burden, and watching it fly off into the night, Mia slowly unrolled the parchment it had carried and attempted to read the missive. It took several attempts, but finally she was able to get her eyes to focus enough to puzzle out what was written within. “ Tomorrow eve…” she muttered to her self as she folded the letter and stuffed it into her armor. A rasping call from up the street alerted her to the presence of yet another Lizard man scout, and she spurred her mount, bow at the ready, towards the noise she had just heard.
She arrived by way of the eastern passage. Not desiring to venture far into the unknown and in the current state of the city, she took board with a merchant couple, dwelling just east of Lord Blackthorns castle. Setting out toward the eastern Mint, she hired a messenger stripling to deliver note to the Lady Mia...
The boy rode through the city, making his every attempt to avoid the invaders. Street by street he searched for the one as described by the Lady Paladin...A Lady of great stature, making good use of the bow and arrow, clad in gold and a shade of red. By the eve’s end he had not seen this woman, and so began to ask the remaining citizens had they seen such a noble.
“No sir...” said the man he had motioned toward him.
He continued to ask those he saw, beckoning a young girl...
“Have you seen a woman, clad in gold armor and shades of red accent, wielding the bow?”
The girl looked quickly down to her bundle of wraps, and then over her shoulder, gave she a nod.
The stripling took moments to thank her, and paid compliment to her intentions with the supplies as he headed in the direction she had gestured.
Dismounting, he walked near a wall, and set to a mount was a woman, her back to him. She carried a heavy crossbow at her knee, he approached her swiftly, perhaps too....For he startled her, and her bow was raised as she spun the mount around. He faced the Paladin woman, then bowed his head deeply, “Milady...” Looking upon her, disheveled and weary face, he reached into his pack and produced his letter...
Mia,
I have arrived to the city. Taken board east to
the castle Blackthorn, across the eastern
most bridge, and along the path. Join
me sister, I shall have a hot meal,
and comfort with which to offer
you.
Come, rest your body a time.
Let us speak.
Always,
~LaBelle~
