Maelwyn was concerned. It seemed for every step forward that they made, they ended up two steps behind. Yes, so they had prevented a potential threat, but now there was a plague in Vesper. The "return" to power by the Ebon Skulls, whom she personally thought never had lost power in the first place. The attack on the city of Sanctus. The bonfire. Molly. Black Cove. Umbra. All these things weighed heavily on her mind, as she paced back and forth at the Standing Stones.

There must be a way to concentrate power, combine the good of all to defeat these evil deeds. She would have to concentrate and find a cure for that plague, first of all, lives were in danger. This was the most needy task at the moment. But to even think of a cure, one must know the cause.. Frustrated, she paced even more furiously, wearing the grass a bit. She realized that before she left the small grove, she would have to lay a blessing upon the grass, to regrow it in.

If only, if only the Treefellows weren't so unconcerned,. If only the Kirin were indigenous to Umbra. If only, if only.. too much if only.

Sighing, Maelwyn sat down in the center of the Standing Stones and allowed herself to fall into a deep trance. This place was strong in the earth powers, that was why she had come. Concentrating on the image of a flower blooming, she meditated heavily and lost all track of time. Well into the night she sat there, taking no notice of her surroundings as she pondered the events of late.
