He had tried his best to remain optimistic that the plague in Vesper would be a passing thing, but each day Max struggled to get out of bed wore away at that same optimism. Word that the plague was possibly released into the Town's water supply by some madman claiming to be a priest of a god named Chaos certianly did not help matters either.
Add to this the fact that people were saying Lady Lia was missing, and Max's hope was all but faded that he would be feeling better, if even alive for that matter, anytime in the near future. He had been trying to help fight of the invasion of Britain, but his frequent searches through the woods for wandering healers told him he did not have the strength he needed for this kind of intense combat. The time had come to stop trying to ignore the illness and find people who could help.
As the past few weeks had gone by Max had been feeling himself growing weaker, and now the lesions that had formed were starting to open up and bleed. He had to chuckle at the thought that it was a good thing he was not involved romantically with anyone, he was not very pretty to look at without his clothes on!
In his mind he began to develop a list of people to see. First his good friends Vaen, Leshok and the rest of the Legion. Max hoped they would do what they could to help out, and growing weaker by the day, there might be little Max could do with regard to moving around.
Also on his list Max decided someone had to located Lady Lia. Perhaps the plague had been particularly severe on her being an elf...if she even had it at all.
Also very high on the list was to find this "priest." If he was, indeed, the one who caused this he must have some idea how to stop it.
Max decided he had also better check on the rest of the League. Nicodemus was not feeling to well himself, but Sefana and Smiticles were thankfully unaffected the last he knew.
"The time has come to find some answers.", Max thought to himself. "At least, as much I can." he said as he flopped back onto the bed. _________________ -Max of Vesper, Super Pally Perma NoOb. |
