She had spent the last two nights at the Elven Palace and the better part of the day there. She could not seem to tear herself away from the place.

Her husband was gone to who knows where, her children...all gone, and no personal life to speak of. She had buried herself in her work as long as she could, trying not to dwell on her loneliness.

She finally broke down after reading the poem. She wandered the empty halls of the palace looking at things that reminded her of her family and at every turn she saw something that made her cry again. Books, items, old toys kept as mementos of childhood, Isil's whistle and a box full of star sapphires.

She found a trunk with Silmadil's ornate armor and cloak. She lifted the cloak from the trunk and held it close to her. His scent still lingered in the fabric. She packed up these special things into the trunk with the armor as a flood of tears came once again.

She had not eaten in days nor had she slept more than a few hours and even then it was fitful and full of nightmares. She collapsed on the floor clutching the cloak loosing consciousness.

Her pigeon fluttered in the window. It landed near her face and a few stray feathers fluttered onto her cheek. Slowly she opened her eyes and realized where she was. She was still holding the cloak. She sat up and the pigeon hoped onto her hand. She saw the note attached and carefully removed it. She opened it and read its message. It was from Lady Rumnin.

Lady Molly,

At the meeting on Thursday it was decided we would gather some things to set up an infirmary at Lord British Castle. I have gathered many items and I am having potions made by a friend. When you are ready we can make ready for Britain.

Rumnin

She went in search of quill and ink finding them on the desk. She wrote a quick note and sent the pigeon on its way to Rumnin saying she would meet her in Luna and make the preparations for the trip. She said she would call for the others to join her and take the supplies for the infirmary later that night.

She summoned her pack animal and placed the trunk in its pack. She turned once more at the gate to look back. She bit her lower lip holding back a fresh flood of emotion and stepped outside mounting her animal. The crisp cold air hit her face and she breathed in deeply. She said an arcane spell and a gate opened. She stepped in and arrived home.
