Let it be known that Vaen Swiftar, Ceinwyn ab'Arawn, and the elf Alexander are now property of the Order of the Ebon Skull. Should any feeble attempt be made to steal what belongs to the Order, said property will be sent to Oblivion without hesitation. They will be "set free" when they have reached enlightenment.

Mallory saw the poster as she was running her errands and she sighed softly. If she had had any hope of helping Vaen it was destroyed now, as she would not want to bring him any more harm. She said a quick prayer for him and Alexander... then added Ceinwyn to the prayer also and went about her errands, knowing there was little else she could do at this time...

Alexander sat quietly in his cell during the early morning, while apparently everyone else had fallen asleep. He tried to remember exactly how he had gotten into this situation. He knew that he had agreed to be held, but there was more to it than that, also.

First he had found out that Vaen was missing. That didn't seem like such a great thing, so he had decided it would be best to go look for him. Someone had said that he was kidnapped by the Order of the Ebon Skull, so he thought it'd probably be best to go look around their city.

After searching inside the city, to no avail, Alexander tried thinking where else Vaen might be. The only other building he had any knowledge of was where the Black Masses were held. "Might as well try there, although I don't know why they'd bring Vaen to a church service", Alex muttered to himself.

Apparently the Order of the Ebon Skull had done just that, and when Alexander arrived, he found quite a few people outside the Church. During a small skirmish, he managed to make his way inside, but couldn't find anyone or anything unusual. He -had- heard strange voices when he approached the back, where a small gray altar was. Something had to be tricky about the building, but he wasn't sure what yet.

Going back outside, hopefully to ask what he was missing about the building, he was met with a bit of hostility. Being asked to leave, he did just that! Alexander realized he couldn't just leave Vaen, there, though.

Sitting around a quiet spot in Umbra, Alex tried to think of a plan that would work in granting him access to the Church. Who had he seen while there? A few men, a drow, and a ghostly figure. The ghostly figure stuck in his mind, and he wasn't sure why at first. He looked around his belongings to figure out if maybe it was something he had that reminded him of it. There was blood moss, a small pouch, nox crystal, black pearl, some pig iron. Alexander paused a bit after looking at the pig iron. He glanced quickly at the other things he just noticed, and paused more on the nox crystal. What was he forgetting?

Suddenly, he remembered exactly what he was forgetting! The new spells he had learned. One of them involved looking something like what the ghostly figure he had seen looked like. He quickly cast this spell and made his way back to the Church.

The form -seemed- to work, but he was confused as to how to act at first. He tried wailing like a ghost, and it seemed to work ok, so he stuck with that. Many OoOooOooO's ensued.

Alexander went back into the church to see if he might find what he had been missing before. He looked around but didn't seem to be getting anywhere, still. Then, as if perfectly scripted to the time he was about to give up, a wall opened in the back and a member of the Order just walked right out! The church was pretty tricky indeed!

Moving to the hidden door and walking through, he easily found where the hidden voices had been coming from before. He worked his way up to the roof and saw many more people than he had thought were actually there. He also saw Vaen, and some other lady that looked to be associated with him.

Alex continued to OoOOoOoo with the best of them, trying to formulate a plan as to how to help them both out. He couldn't get too close, or he was reprimanded by some strange person who kept popping up out of no where. He felt horribly about them being tortured like they were, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

After a long while, and an attempt at Vaen's rescue by his fellow Legion members, the Order had apparently decided to move the prisoners to another location. During this time, the spell had worn off, and Alexander appeared to be his normal self, again. This wasn't very good. He couldn't let Vaen and the other lady just be taken away somewhere randomly!

The apparently new Lich Lord approached Alex and questioned why he was here, also mentioning that he should run before it was too late. Seriously wanting to do just that, he found himself not able to. Vaen was his friend. This other lady seemed to be a friend of Vaen's. He couldn't let them just be imprisoned alone! This is basically what he ended up saying, as well.

After that, it was said that if he wished to go with them, he could be 'Enlightened', also. Alexander promptly agreed to this, and was bound quickly with rope.

The cell wasn't so bad. There weren't nearly as many flowers or windows as would have been nice, but it was a decent size. Alex laid back down, trying to rest a little more. Looking at the ceiling, he found small patterns in the dots upon it. He was sure that something good would happen soon that would save them all.
