Valin Eymericus had spent the last few months in Moonglow mainly at the Lyceaeum in hopes of finding a mage willing to train him in the arts of Magery. Valin grew up a wealthy youth among his friends the Brightblades till age 13 then was reunited with this father under strange happenings..his father was once a Baron of Britain and served in the Order of the White Rose was even one of the founding members of the Order till he turned on the Order with a small band of followers and went to serve the Shadowlords. His father had fallen into the art of Necromancy and had intended to train his son in that way but young Valin at the time would not have any part of that. Yet he kept the secret of his fathers return among himself as he continued to live with the Brightblades. At the age of 18 the young man first learned of his interest in magery and further more in elven women.. He had fallen in love with an elvish princess over time she began to feel the same for Valin but her family felt it would be a disgrace to there race and there status for her to marry a human male. Valin and the elven maiden were certain of there love even to the point she was willing to give up her status as a princess and even bare the shame her people would put upon her.

On the day they were to be wed her party that was making there way to the wedding was attacked. The Princess and her guards were slain by a bunch of bandits. Valin was is deep shock over this and shunned his friends but his father was quick to his side. Valins father started to tell his son of how the maidens family had hired these bandits to kidnapp her and stop the wedding but that one elf lord who lusted after her and wished to make her pay for her sin for loving a human ordered and paid one of the bandits to kill the Princess..This made Valin very mad and from that day forth he has hated all elves and vowed to become a great mage and make those who did this terrible deed pay with there life. His quest to become a great mage was taking along time though.. Three years had passed since that day and the young man still had not found a master of the art to teach him..he had done his study on the simple level spells daily here in moonglow but he felt it was time to move on and learn more from a master. He was hoping this day would be different and it seemed his luck had maybe changed for when he was about to leave he recieved a note by Squire from a man named Bailos..this man was apparently a head of a new Mages Council and wished to meet Valin two nights from tonight for what Valin did not know but the idea of meeting a master was thirlling..he could not wait till that night came..
