I hope this letter finds you in good humor, Isk. I would think that it does, since the trial in which you lost, seemed to be more of a joke than a true show of Justice.
After hearing some of the testimonies I did come to my own conclusion regarding the whole matter. I know not if you did in fact hit Molly, nor would I accuse you of such. But no one seemed to object when you said she vomited over the railing the first time, then walked over twords you and vomited more. I would think that anyone not feeling good would vacate the area, as to not cause a scene or a mess. However it seems that Molly did not do that, and purposely caused a mess onto you. I feel that was a very dishonorable act, and was uncalled for. As such, I will ask that she apologizes to you publicy. I do not think she should have a problem with this, since you did lose the case and have to serve in some community service.
You did well this eve in representing yourself. I do hope you can put your smooth words to good use for the Regency when we need you.

P.S. The upcoming trial, held by the Regency shall be much better handled, that much I can assure you.
*scrawled in as an afterthought*
Before I forget, as my mind tends to slip, I wish to mention your comments at the Regency meeting you last attended. If I ever hear you speak any sort of slander twords anyone during a Regency meeting, I will have you tossed out, and Humanis along with you. I have been very lenient with you, but it must come to a stop. It is not only degrading to the one in which you speak, but tarnishes the Regency as a whole. I hope this is the last I will have to speak about this matter. _________________

Regent
I do not fret over the verdict for I was acquitted of the physical assault charge and being made guilty of verbal assault does much to help maintain my image as an agitator. The result was suitable for both prosecution and defence. The sudden change of judges caused me some trouble for I was sure that the previous judge was ‘in the pocket’ so to speak but I soon learned that my verbal skills far outclassed the opposition to such a degree that even the new judge could not deny me the laurel. I know that Cuthbert will be pleased when he discovers what had occurred because he helped me prepare for the trial.
Should I get the urge to hammer my axe into Molly’s skull another time it will not be done on Kotare’s lands however, for I know his laws are meant to be taken seriously. His method of dealing justice is admirably swift and I found the judicial system to be respectable. The trial was in many ways a battle. I am honest when I state that I have never been to a trial that managed to keep the attention of those seated for two and a half hours but this one proved to be thrilling so people stayed.
The only qualm I had about the ordeal was the presence of Kotare’s wife in the stands as I often noticed her taking on the appearance of disgust when I spoke. I would still consider Kotare to be a friend but like many men of influence with inferior wives I feel that his woman is turning him against me. Do you notice how the minor-races send their women to marry humanity’s most influential men? Kotare, Martin and yourself. I would not take such things to be purely coincidental and if a link of friendship can be proven between Lilyth, Molly and your wife an apt mind could bring up a case for conspiracy.
On the subject of Molly; I do not seek a public apology from her. To strive after such a thing would suggest that her words actually matter to me, but they do not. Like any elf blooded creature she is beneath both you and I. The subject matter itself, that of vomit, is greatly unflattering and would only cause more embarrassment to me as the target of her oral projectile.
With regard to your final statement I must asseverate that I often come to the meetings with a great fire burning in my blood. My intensity leads me to say those damning words, at times against your wife. Though during the meetings my statements have never hindered progress or caused conflict lasting more than two minutes. I am impressed by the fact that you have issued a threat against the loyalist status of Humanis. It is extremely difficult to find excuses or explanations for why I chose to keep Humanis in the Regency. Of all the members in the Hand of Humanis I am the only one still willing to give this dream a try for it is my belief that the Regency will give rise to the Philosophe. Though if it is your wish feel free to release me from the table as without Isk and Humanis I am sure the reputation of the Regency will be less murky.
