*Outside of Hanse's Hostel, Vaen Swiftar, who is possessed by an old friend he was forced to kill a couple years ago, Marcus Stanim, had just recently attacked and overcame Murdoc as Murdoc was trying to protect Angel, his good friend. Angel had hid in the meantime, and Vaen was searching around for her, Rachel came in*
"Vaen..." Rachel said, peering at her old friends.
"Rachel..." Marcus grinned.
"Or should I say, Marcus?"
Marcus laughed.
"Call me what you wish."
Valatin recalled in and walked over to the scene. He remained silent, watching on.
"Come on out, Angel. I know you're here somewhere."
Rachel looked to Marcus, curious as to what he's doing. Marcus looked over to Rachel.
"What do you want?"
Rachel shook her head. Vaen chuckled.
"You can't cling on to Vaen forever."
"Vaen is stronger than you ever will be! You are merely a child compared to him."
"A child, mm? Well then, seems that this child has control of a much... stronger... being."
"Enjoy it while you can, Vaen, Marcus, whatever! Your time is coming to an end."
Marcus laughed.
"An end, you say? I think not!"
Valatin glanced over at Marcus and shook his head, but still remained silent.
"All of you, you are all pitiful," Marcus said, "I mean, look at you! Rachel, you're nothing but a wench. Valatin, you're a washed up old man who still thinks he has the kicks. And Angel," Vaen laughed, "she's nothing. A Bar wench, a harlot, if you will..."
Angel appeared from behind Marcus, growling.
Rachel looked over to her, "Angel, what are you doing here?! You should leave, now!"
Angel ignored her pleas, and stared right at Marcus . Marcus grinned, and started walking towards her.
"I am in control, Angel. I have complete control of Vaen, and I can.... Erm..." Marcus put a hand to his head.
"Complete control, mmm?" Rachel smiled.
"Yes, yes. Indeed. Complete control." Marcus composed himself and armed his katana, headed for Angel. He got within an armspan's length from her when he put his hands to his heads and cried aloud once more.
Rachel laughed, "Vaen is getting the better of you, Marcus!"
Marcus looked over at Rachel and looked into her eyes, but her glare caused the pain in his head to grow. He looked away, and charged at her. He swung his katana at her as hard as he could, but he could not hit her. His swing halted just before the blade touched flesh. Rachel smiled. "Vaen wouldn't hurt me."
Marcus growled. He then turned to Angel to swing at her sides, but alas, the blade would not pierce her either. Something from within Marcus was fighting him, becoming powerful enough to stop his evil intentions, atleast for now.
Valatin put a hand on Marcus's shoulder, and Marcus jerked away.
Valatin smiled. "Stay strong, lad. We'll get you back soon enough!"
Marcus groaned, "Never..."
Marcus turned from all of them and started walking away slowly. As he got further away from them, the pain started to decrease. Marcus groaned, knowing that he could not battle efficiently if Vaen's friends were there. Marcus had to think of something... but what? _________________
